May 26th: The upgrades to the forum software have been completed, for a list of new features please look here.

Unfortunately there were a few bugs caused by the upgrade, there isn't anything too major but please report any you find here.  Thanks.

Our last contests were won by SirUlrich and SpaceCowboy, giving them the honour of choosing the theme for this one.

A lot of great people have held the status as Warhammer-Empire “staff” over the years and it is the hard work of these volunteers that keeps the site going. Of course nothing stays the same forever and some of these great people eventually have to step aside of their duties. It is in recognition of this that a new category has been created on the forum for retired site staff. These Old Ones will always have our gratitude for the work that they have done.

I'd also like to use this time to introduce everyone to our two newest staff members. Perambulator and warhammerlord_soth have both agreed to become moderators. They have some big shoes to fill but we're confident that they should do so just fine.

The Emperor is pleased to announce a competition in the run up to Christmas.

Now it may have something to do with his relocation to the frozen wastes, and having to fit a snow plough to his car, but he wants to see some creative writing along the following theme.

Santa in WFB

He is looking for a poem, or maybe lyrics that could be set to a tune, about Santa Claus and his exploits and adventures in the world or Warhammer.

I can be rythmic, it can be rhyming, it can be a saga, and it can be serious or humorous, it can be short or it could be long, and the Emperor has suggested a few ideas ....................

Battling thieving goblins and still delivering the presents on time...............

.... and of course if he happens to have beard that puts Grombrindal to shame, .........

.......and his magical abilities make Teclis look like a novice you could be well on your way ............

Welcome back everyone, I hope you enjoyed your vacation 

As you can see the site is back up and running.... sort of. There are still obviously some things to do before the forum and front page are mostly operational again and we have successfully moved to a new (and as far as we can tell better) host.

Please excuse the mess that you'll find, it will still be a little while before everything is done, but at the moment most of the key functions of the forum should be intact.
