I can’t connect to te chatroom either.
I’ve made some changes to the chat applet, it should hopefully work for more people now. Please keep in mind that it can take a few minutes to connect sometimes We’ve also moved to #TWFchat which should be much more active.
Any more errors though please do share.

If you are having issues with the java app, as I did when I just tried, try downloading IceChat. It i s free.
Server: irc.newnet.net
Port: 6667
Channel: #twfchat
Nickname: AnyNickYouWant
In the “server editor” / options / startup – check Auto-Connect On Startup
In the “server editor” / options / Auto-Join List – make sure that #twfchat is there and checked and that Enable Auto-Join is checked
Once you get there I can help you with other settings.

I would like to start a debate,why is no one fielding hallebard’s?,they have become really interesting if u use the hoard rule for the 8th edition,1o guys wide 4 ranks deep,this way 3 ranks can attack..possibility of 30 attacks thats without a fc.I tried them in two blocks both with fc one with a warrior priest(hatred for the unit ouch…)and the other with lev 2 shadow wiz.I was fighting orcs and my brother decided to field a hoard of 40 choppa boys(2 attacs str 4 first turn)Because of the re-rolls & the initiative and two won duels,i wiped them in 2 turns loosing about 11 guys.Now the other block was sent agaist gobbos and there darn fanatics,they did pretty well,i had also had a block of 25 swors with fc and detachement of 10 gunners,got wiped out by 20 goblins…pathetic all in all im a big fan of halleberd now,i think that str 4 is way better than armor or weapon skill put together

i agree, i run a block of 40 with a 20 man detachment and i also run a 15 man detachment with my 30 greatswordmen, in both units i have a warrior priest or an arch lector for the hatered and higher leadership. i also put the crown of comand on the one with the halliberdiers so they become ld8 stubborn also. seems to work pretty well. i tore apart some demons last week.

Sounds to me like the forums gone down, Could be a server issue but I would hazard a guess that the forum instance has crashed. Probably too much overuse!
But we got the same error message last week for a day or so.
Anyway, Calvin (or Soth? or someone?) seems to have fixed it.
