Do you mean as opposed to white and yellow? If so, gold and yellow are the same colours in heraldic terms.

The Empire Heraldry book has Solland's colors as white and yellow(gold).

I need to go back and reread this thread.  I recall some good stories that were written back in the day this thread was prospering.  Probably like when Solland prospered back in its day.

I'll save that for the Back Table area. :icon_cool:

However, having this Solland thread rise again, kind of like Solland itself, is putting me in a mood to paint some Empire figures.  Haven't done that in a good while.  I've got a whole bunch of them recently lined up on a piece of foam board to see what I had, along side some Skaven figures as well, but seeing how much painting needed to be done, I just wasn't motivated.  Maybe this weekend I can do a bit.  I've still yet to paint a unit figures dressed in yellow and white for Solland, yet perhaps one day.  I'm now vaguely recalling a unit painted by Uryens' in yellow and white, but I have so many other projects rolling that who knows when I might do a unit of Solland heirs ready for battle.

I love this websites campaigns, but have only been lurking here instead of asking to compete because a) I only found this site this year, b) I can't decide on fluff/colour scheme for my empire army.....   :icon_redface:

Well the Solland campaign (called "The Solland Effort of 2524") wasn't intended as a competitive one, but instead designed as a way to formulate a joint story only, motivation to paint more figures, and give folks reasons for playing some non-competitive games along the way.

As for deciding on fluff and a color scheme for painting your figures, there are probably some threads in the Elector's Forum area, or maybe Brush and Pallet, perhaps even the Imperial office.  There is a search mechanism that could also be possibly helpful.

Welcome and good luck! :::cheers:::

Can I take it then that you finally have come to see that gold is the heraldic for yellow?

Just came across this thread for the first time, thank you to all the contributors!

I base my army on Wissenland as I though Solland was extinct. My main colour scheme is black and gold (with some gray, white and red in the mix)

Look forward to reading the reast of the threas when I've got some more time.
