My grandpa should survive the year, with a bit of luck.

Unfortunately, it's doubtful he'll make it through next year.  :icon_cry:

Thats a tough thing to know. I experienced the same thing with my granny, we could just see she got worse through the months.
Whats wrong with your grandpa?... its still half a year.. treasure it!

He's old. Heart Disease, Diabetes, and multiple stroke potential blood clots don't help.

Finally. We were promised this by "the year 2000" when I was a kid. It's ten years late, but better late than never.

So how does it work in practice? You go from small local airfield to small local airfield and drive the rest of the way to your destination? I can't believe they'll allow you to take of and land on the road!

I'm assuming it's kerosine fueled, is that really efficient for the part when you drive on the ground?

Right? We barely trust people driving, now we are going to hand them a plane that drives on the road and see how that goes. At least it costs close to $200k, so the average moron (myself included) won't be crashing one onto the freeway anytime soon.

I gather your attention to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hGjl3zcJMk

dude treasure school...it only gets worse!

So I'm happy with the news today, last night there was a mass protest (police say 20k, organizers say 50k) against this universal suffrage itinerary - because for some reason HK locals think Communist China is going to allow democracy to flourish in what is one of the biggest economical centres in China...

Seriously locals who I talk to have no idea about China and educating them on Tienanmen can be really wrong to do (esp. when they get all defensive about it).

But it's good to see they're beginning to take a stance against Legco and Donald Tsang and combined with the mass riots happenin in mainland china I'm hoping to see the Red nation implode in the next couple of years.

Talked to my boss, they're going to pay me for the weekends I worked AND not going to charge me for the refund charge.

So combined with 9 days extra after notice + 4 saturdays I recover all the losses from my study leave and make up a day!!

Course I have a 1500 smoking fee that needs to be paid today or it bumps to 5000 which is going to be an issue as I can't get to the post office...crap...

OH and I found I had 250AUD in my bank account there (which I though I'd closed...) so even more spending monies for next weekend!!

So the boss had a talk to me today because I've "been quiet for the last 3-4 days and I wanted to make sure you were ok"

Anyway.

So the 300 refund charge isn't being charged to me anymore (I feel sorry for my manager who is paying all 600...)
I'm going to get paid for the 5 saturdays (incl tomorrow) that I've worked overtime (full day) for free...
I'm also being given a refund for my OWN tickets to Australia in which I paid RSP instead of Agent Nett (kind a felt wrong paying no profit to my company at the time) so combined with the next 6 days of work before I leave I'll recover all the losses from the 12 days Study Leave and make a couple k more.

Glad I didn't walk out like I wanted too on monday or tuesday. Now I just need to get that reference.

Oh and June the Bitch I got to splag all over her today by reporting that our main  Indian Supply hated her guts (which is true). Best day in the office in AGES...even though it is 7pm on a friday and I'm still writing invoices - such is life I guess.
