Site Overhaul Completed!

We're very pleased to announce that the site overhaul which has been in the works for literally months is now completed.

What's New?
  • Updated, cleaner look, wider design for modern displays
  • New, more powerful site back-end
  • Ability to comment on articles
  • The return of our Chatroom
  • new site categories, new global navigation menu
  • integration with Twitter

Most parts of the site are now powered by a customized version of WordPress. This means that it is now easier than ever for site staff to add content to the site and that hopefully this will translate into more regular adding of articles, stories, etc.


There are a few more things in the pipeline for the site that aren't quite ready. Keep an eye out for these features in the coming weeks.

What's still to come?
  • A new and improved gallery
  • Increased social networking integration
  • Better support for mobile devices
  • Lots of great new tactics, stories, and workshop articles!
And of course there is also that Campaign on the horizon...

A big thanks to warhammerlord_soth for his help in transfering the site content to the new system.
Also thanks to the rest of the staff for their support and input.

It's all looking good and working fine. Nice job. I've no idea how much work goes into it all (such knowledge is forbidden to me apparently!) but thank you all.

So, are there to be new entries in the Battle Reports and Stories sections? Just thought I'd ask ... as I have done a few and they seem to have met with approval.

Speaking of the Wiki, can I begin updating some of it for 8th edition? Specifically some of the Armies, like Beastmen.

Yeah, that. I'm personnally not quite sure if all rumours have been confirmed now, so there's that. But if a rumour has been confirmed (which I wasn't aware that it had happened to the Turn, Move, Turn) , I have no qualms against a line like 'With the coming of 8th edition, this tactic will no longer be viable, as it was written for 7th" or an extra paragraph about how things will be in 8th for say the halberdiers etc. Just not downright editing everything 7th out (we can do that once it becomes active without too much trouble) :wink: And I stress that I'm not aware of what has and what hasn't been confirmed, which is the reason I didn't just edit your text at TMT. I hope you can still follow what I'm saying, and if any of us wants to discuss this further, I'd suggest we move it to the wiki thread :wink:

Congrats on the upgrade - its looking great - puts CN to shame........but then we have our own upgrades in planning :)

Still thank you very much for the banner link, and just so you know we are getting your news feeds through fine over at CN - hence how I knew about this upgrade :)
