That bear is quite nice.

I can't imagine the horses are too happy about being right next to him though!
I like the bear, but I think it would look better in a unit of bears.  It seems out of place next to the horses for me, too.

There is no army that would let you do that however. hell there's no army that will let me have a monster mount. It's annoying.
Curse you and your ability to stay within the lines.

It's not resin is it?

He's being a bit of a pain to make a rider for. He's a bit too fat!

Mercenary ogres, maybe.  The stats would be underwhelming for such a great model, but you could field a unit that way,

Golfag's should be the choice there.  4 attack S4 per bear (and rider) one bear with 5 attack S4 and the lead bear have 6 S5 attacks.  Very modest.. and it has to be a unit of 4 at least  :engel:

Uncomfortably wide legs for the rider!

The bear is nice. I like the Scibor stuff but missed that bear.

Does the rider have to be sitting astride the bear? Could be like an mahout or on top of the bear in a throne arrangement? Just a couple of thoughts.

Or just being pure badass and standing on top of the saddle.

I'd just run him as a unitfiller or maybe a counts as griffon that can't fly or something like that.

Nice work, keep it up. It reinds me of the ones in the golden compass...

Probably your best bet. Ogre bulls / maneaters / ...

You can always model him like an amazone. With his legs at one side of the bear.

I've dumped the plans of using Bretonnians. They suck.

Instead I'll be playing Empire. I'm actually having trouble at the moment. 15 Winged Lancers don't really look very good, since most of my points usually come from painting this concerns me! Plus I don't care about winning tournaments!

I've decided to take a wizard so I can cast everything on 6 dice and have them explode amusingly.

Aside from 3 units of 5 knights, a wizard, 40 haldbards, 10 archers, a WP and a cannon I have no idea what to take to be Kislev like!

I'd probably take some dwarves to counts as certain units, ala handgunners etc as in alot of fluff dwarfs are always helping out Kislev.
Why would he look there?  Never ever has there been balls under an elf's robes.   :closed-eyes:

Greatswords, then model them with halberds so that they are Kreml guard.

If you want inspiration look at this-

I may be putting together a large Kislev force myself for EOW, and I was planning on building war wagons. While I shouldn't think I will be using them for Warhammer (i haven't played WFB for, god I don't know) but I do love building armies and my bud Myrmidian has been giving me some painting tips. I do sometimes do the odd historical wargame with friends and colleagues, but mainly I just like making them. Anyway, despite my overall ignorance on the subject, I feel there were rules at some point for war wagons, and I can't think of much that's more Kislevite than this staple of Muscovite, and Commonwealth armies. I found a picture online of a beautiful tabor gulay gorod that i think you may find inspiring.

and these are mine

Other options have been mentioned, cossack/horse archers, Royal Guard (I have a nice pic of what Polish Royal Guard Halberds looked like, and they're spiffy!
some Kislevite dwarves (some warriors with a rindi theme, it'd be pretty and not too hard)

And to round things out, perhaps some Streltzi, these are mine for inspiration

In the kislev book stands a nice example of an kislev army using the empire rules.

I would add some crossbowmen and a big free compagnie unit to represent the Kossars.
Then a AL on war altar, to represent a war wagon?
Some bear riders as ogres?

I've actually got quite far now! I'm a bit sick of the sight of them at the second so I won't post pictures. Need to paint lots of horses and block out colours on men at arms and i'll be done!

Have started a mini beastmen force so I can do some converting, not much room in metal land and miss greenstuff!

I picked up a box of "Ungol Horse Archers" at my local gamestore about a month ago.  I'm going to use them for a Kiselv warband in Mordheim.  I really just wanted the torsos (I'll use free company legs).  Not sure what I'll do with the legs and horses.
Desperately seeking Chaos Warrior heads & Skull banner tops from new empire missle troops sprue.  Will trade for bitz, barter, or $$$.  PM or email me to discuss details.
