Mordheim Card Terrain
« on: May 26, 2013, 03:51:44 PM »
Dear Everyone,

I recently purchased a brand new mordheim boxed set. Got to love ebay.

Anyway, I have all the card terrain, but its obviously not enough. So I thought to myself "I'll just take it to a professional copier, and have them print a doublesided copy on card stock.

However, how would one go about copying the plastic pieces?

Wow, I'm just amazed that there are still Mordheim boxes out there. For a while they were giving them away for a song, then they sky rocketed in price.

Copying them is probably more trouble than it's worth, although it's really the only way to get more these days. I'd just use balsa wood and cut/sculpt your own.

Gotta agree with Delthos. It's probably easier making buildings from craft sticks and foam core, and it's fairly easy to achieve a nice half-timbered look.

I think there are also some other companies already making card terrain of different types too. (I couldn't name them, but I remember seeing some.)

Thanks all. I use balsa and cork tiles to make buildings already. I was tempted by the fixtures sprue. I'd like to make copies of it for future projects

I wish GW still had these available. Their new kits are great but sometimes you just want to create your own buildings with just a little bit of help.

You could try Malifax (I think? Malifaux?) They have some terrain that's easy to set up.

If you're still interested: There's a couple of cardboard terrain pieces available for download. The old wizard of the coast chainmail free-to-download building sets also contain ruined versions of most their buildings (ruined walls, towers, huts and even a ruined mausoleum). And with some luck you might even the old 5th ed GW sets (such as Grudge of Drong, Gravaine's Quest, Idol of Gork) for download. The German GW site had them uploaded some years back and, well, the internet never forgets.

Cheers,
