Yeah, the best that I can tell is that it's from the War Altar.  Not sure, but I is a cool addition, even if it'd be toast as soon as the first volley fired off!   :-P

It's great to see all your minis upclose. I especially like the unit fillers, particularly the one with the banners, your beasts and the luminark.

Inspiring work, the lot of it. The one that REALLY stood out to me was the warrior priest of Ulric. That cloak's blue is amazing.  :eusa_wall:
Now go! Ride towards the sun atop these noble steeds
You're our spandex heroes, now fullfil your destinies
And so we turned and rode beyond the castle walls
with shiny codpiece armour that doth cradle our chivalrous balls

Thanks, Syphon!  That's why I post here.  I hope someone might see something that can give them ideas!  The more work we have out here, the better our work can potentially become!

Well she came in yesterday! Not as well packaged as I would've hoped (they had just stuffed wadded up notebook paper around it!), but I should be able to fix most of it. Her left army was off and floating in the box and the scythe was snapped in two. There are a couple of broken spikes as well. The broken scythe is my biggest concern.  I also need to put it on a better, appropriate sized base.

Shame about the shoddy packaging, but she's a beast. A good quality super glue should fix her just right. What a gorgeous model...

Yeah, that scythe is awfully thin.  I'll probably wind up having to do a bit of Green Stuff work around it to keep it together.  Hopefully that'll work.

I broke the scythe on mine while I was working on it, dropped her once too often! Resin snaps quite cleanly so I just used some 0.5 mm brass wire and holes using a tiny drill bit to add strength to the join. I also had to repair a few spines, but a few broken ones looks quite natural. I went for a 75mm square base and it seems quite stable but 100mm square / round would not look silly. Depends how much extra basing work you fancy...

Since I play 8th, I'm thinking that I'll be going with a standard chariot base for all of my Dragons.  Except for the Zombie Dragon.  That one just gets the raw end of the deal.  Lol!

I'll have to take another look at the scythe when I get home. but I'm not too sure I'd be able to get a drill bit in the point where the scythe broke.  I'll try to take a pic and see what you guys think.

So here's a pic of the broken scythe.  Unfortunately, it's in a place too thin for pinning.  Hopefully, I'll be able to do a good enough Green Stuff job to hold it together and not take anything away from the aesthetic.

If it's a whole mm thick you can put a 0.5mm pin in it if you're careful ;)

But it is resin... I wouldn't pin any resin model, you can break it. Maybe plastic glue?

Plastic glue won't work on resin.

I cannot see easily because the model has been sprayed black, but I think a good way to handle this would be to test-fit it to see how tight the fit is. If it is a clean break and mates cleanly, a drop of superglue will hold it well. If not, use a small ball of green stuff sandwiched between superglue to make a custom fit.

Let that dry for a good 24 hours.

Then, take some very small bits of green stuff and make rose-vines wrapping around the scythe and crossing the break. Drops of superglue will hold them in place well. Then make a rose or two to go on the vines, so it looks like part of it.

I would pin and greenstuff.
Or superglue if its a clean break, or you can cut a bit of each side so that superglue will adhere to the cut surface.

Up to you. I haven't got too many resin models, but i use a lot of superglue.

Well, I managed to Superglue it back together and I've been letting it set up for around 24 hours. We'll see how it does when I start painting on her. Hopefully nothing else will need to happen. If it doesn't hold, I'll go to using Green Stuff and superglue.

My Photobucket is having trouble this morning.  Little by little they seem to be fixing stuff.  I'll revise this post with an image of it when they get the site fixed.
