Eurobash 2016 (9th Year) Planning, Happening and Aftermath
« on: November 28, 2015, 05:21:19 PM »
The 2016 Bash will be held on:

Saturday May 14th, Sunday May 15th and Monday May 16th

The Monday is a Public Holiday in Belgium.

So Travelling Friday 13th and probably going home Tuesday May 17th

Usual Venue - HQ Club at St Niklaas, Belgium.

It seems we all agree the IBIS is the best hotel, but we have left booking too late in the last couple of years, so we plan to book a number of twin rooms BEFORE Christmas this time, for the full 4-night stay (Friday to Monday inclusive).
Those rooms will be allocated to people as they confirm they will definitely be coming. Once those rooms are filled it will be pot luck if there are still vacancies at the IBIS or we will look at last year's 'New Flanders' hotel as back-up.

Edit December 10th 2015
IBIS :
65 euro, single room, includes breakfast
78 euro, TWIN room, includes breakfast for two.

Booking 6 rooms now.

Edit: December 13th 2015
We have discussed a single payment for all evening meals:
Soth has suggested a figure of 60 euros for all 4 evening meals.
These 4 meals will probably be one restaurant, one spaghetti night, one BBQ night, and one pizza/toasted sandwich night at the club.

This will mean we can tell people get an exact cost for accommodation and breakfast and dinner for the whole Bash, with only drinks and lunch or snacks as extras.
Soth can balance the 4 evening meals to the money available, and stop subsidising them out of his own pocket do much.
{Of course regulars know that you make sure you have big empty pockets so lunch can be prepared at breakfast.}

You may add posts below signing up, or asking questions.

This post will be edited with new info and the attendees list.

   Attending:

I claim the first Ibis Twin Room please; me and Mr PieChee

Team UK should be two cars this year  :biggriin:

No1Son really enjoyed last year and definitely wants to come this time.

Fr1day should be back.
So with Finlay and rufus that will give us 5.   ( though rufus will probably be in the New Flanders as he will take forever to say he's coming.  :engel: )

Anyway we will probably have room for at least 2 or maybe 3 in existing vehicles - I have one enquiry already, and for any other UK members who want to know more please contact any of us.

On the calendar so I'm coming.
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

I suppose I should just say I'm going now, rather than dithering about it for ages.

I'm not going to the bad hotel!

Alright. Buggrit. I'm coming this time. I think the last two years I've said "oh, I'll see, maybe, it depends on money, etc...". Put me down as a definite, and I'll pay for the room as soon as you make a booking.

If somebody else from Germany were going with a car, it would be super if I could get a ride to Belgium. Otherwise, I'll figure something out with the trains (I assume Antwerp is probably the easiest, rather than Ghent?)...

And what version of Warhammer will be the norm for the Bash?
So I can prepare and study the rules a little.

I'll be playing AoS if any is interested, otherwise I'll be playing Mordheim or maybe 8th ed with my empire
