I'm thrilled about this! Though my wallet is scarred as so many neat things come along and I can't buy them all!

Models and a fun game to help draw in my non-wargaming friends who like board games is my main excitement.  Everything else that comes after that is just a bonus. :-D

@SKS, I know your pain. I've held back my greed for now but the floodgates are close to bursting....

That's a teaser? :icon_rolleyes:

Doesn't tease me towards anything.  And it provides little to no info, so not really a wonder to me either.

Looking good, elves are a bit weird though. Shame they went for a fyreslayer and not a proper dwarf. Love the old school familiars. Ethnic diversity! Females! Who are you and what have you done with our games workshop!

Some of the minis look good. Too bad it's set in the AOS universe and the heroes look accordingly. Also notice the proportions and size of the Priest - if this is an indicator of what the human miniatures in AOS will look like, you can forget about mixing them with old Warhammer miniatures.

Gotta say I love the models! The elves may take a bit of adjustment (I have a high elf army) but I'm liking the look.
May not have it in the personal budget for this but I think it's a god buy.

From Warseer:
Quote from: Turgol;7626415
More Info: there will be an app, called "Warhammer Quest Silver Tower: my hero companion app". It is via this app that you will be able to field the other heroes, by buying the respective data card. Not a bad business idea really, though I'am sure people will hate having to pay.

Even more information:
Quote from: shin'keiro;7626491
A brand new game in a box, telling the story of a group of mighty heroes battling their way through the Silver Tower. The box contains:

51x brand new highly detailed plastic miniatures, the quality of which there is nothing else like it on the market. Some miniatures are brand new concepts for the army, and will excite many customers! The miniatures have a dynamic single pose and will require glue and assembly (they are not push fit, however easy to put together). The miniatures can be divided into two camps:

The Warhammer Quest Heroes
6x individual Warhammer Quest heroes
Knight Questor – The Paladin (Stormcast Eternal)
Darkoeth Chieftan – The Barbarian (Free People)
Fyreslayer Doomseeker The Dwarf (Dwarf)
Excelsior War priest & Gryph Hound – The header and war priest companion (Free People)
Mistweaver Saith – Female wizad (Aelf)
Tenebrand Shard – The assassin (Aelf)

The Denizens
44x individual Warhammer Quest monsters that live in the Silver Tower. The below list of miniatures make for a great addition or a start of an original Grand Alliance Chaos army!
Gaunt Summoner
Ogroid Traumaturge
2x Skaven Deathrunners
8x Familiars
6x Tzaangors (Beastmen)
8x Kairic Acolytes
2x Pink Horrors
4x Blue Horrors
4x pairs of Brimstone Horrors
8x Grot Scuttlings

Gaming Accessories
A guide book
An adventure quest book
13x Reversible board tiles with different landscapes
6x Hero character cards
36x Skill and treasure cards
40x Exploration (event) cards, to offer even more variation to the game so that each game will be different.
A booklet with assembly instructions
Gaming accessories such as assorted gaming counters and dice sets

I really like the look of the models. The tzench ogre is a favorite, as are some of the others.

Budget is shot for the next few weeks/months so it'll probably be awhile. Hopefully it's not going to be the silly limited release thing they've done before.

Well, there was this comment on Dakkadakka:

Just got off the phone with GW. They are pushing this hard and calling it Warhammer Quest.

Supposedly....(sales rep info here, grain of salt)  WQ will be a new line alongside 40k and AOS. More hero boxes, rules for using models from AOS, etc.

Of course, i'm being told this while they try to sell me a ton of copies :)

Really like the familiar descriptions. :icon_biggrin:

Familiars:

Embodiments of pure magic, the Familiars' only master is the Silver Tower itslef, they are  as much nuisances as help.

The compelling Tweak (1) keeps talking about his grand plans, thinking he is a Lord of Change !

Purg (2) the kleptomaniac is constantly on the lookout to steal what glitters.

Blot (3) may have all the secrets of the Creation, but no one understands him.

Slop (4) the smelly is a fish-thing that one smell from far away.

[Edit: by the by, a good fellow at Spacebattles.com came up with a reason why the aelf sorceress has a eyeless-helmet. Since Tyrion is blind it may indicate a new magic order made by Teclis to symbolize his brother's ailment.)
