So ye, Reikland! Woo! I am terrible at making posts that people are supposed to read, so I'll just get on with it!

Want to finish my Reikland army for EMpires on Parade. Going alright so far. Will pick up the board from GW too, so that should work out. I guess I'll start with a list of what I have and then pics of what is done already~

Have:
1 Karl Franz on Death Claw
1 Kurt Helborg
3 Warrior Priests
1 Witch Hunter
1 Bright Wizard
1 War Altar (Volkmar and Arch Lector will be based in such a way that I can play them on foot or on the altar)
1 Hurricanum
10 Knights and 2 Grand Masters (split up into 2 Orders)
1 Helblaster Volley Gun
2 Cannons
1 Mortar
30 Halberd State Troops
20 Greatswords
20 Handgunners
3 Demi Gryph Knights
1 General on Horse

I think that is all. But yea, painted so far are:

One Bright Wizard

20 Greatswords (Banner not done yet tho)

Will be updating the list whenever more stuff gets painted! And for getting through my horrible post, have a Shoob on her birthday~

I love that Bright Wizard. Have a figurine of him, very nicely painted myself, he's awesome.

The army is looking really nice.

Good job on that bright wizard! Extra points for painting the flames the right way round (unlike GW did it).

Also, your dog is lovely. A Shiba Inu?

1st: Fun fact. It actually was painted using the flame guide from the Eavy Metal book

2nd: The dog in my picture isn't mine, it just was a cute dog in a small car. My oldest dog (Maya) actually had her birthday on Sunday. Here's she with her cake :3 And ye, Shiba Inu~

Ha! Well done. You really have to wonder why they get it wrong on their minis if they get it right in the painting guides.

Did a Warrior Priest and started on the State Troops. Not sure how much detail I'll put into them (there are 30 and then another 20 handgunners), but I'll defo still need to work on them!

Dunno what I'll do with them yet tbh. Wil first do all the stuff like the wood and so on first tho, since there still are stuff to do, still not really sure if I should wash the white since it is so smooth anywho

Cool painting log. The flames are very well-done. It's too bad the base shape makes it impossible to use these Warhammer models in games of Warhammer.

Well, I play AoS because I honestly can't be arsed to learn an (in my personal opinion) unfun game that requires me to spend more time looking at books than at my minis. I already do that with 40k enough. Plus even for Mordheim I would prefer round bases, simply because it looks much nicer. nNot like you CAN'T bend a rule to make it okay in that game

I'm curious as well, since I have a whole unit of Militia, put on such bases. I've bought 'em that way.

I like heroes on bigger bases tbh. I think it looks nicer, especially once they get prettied up~

Fair enough. It looks good. I almost think the halberds should be on bigger bases too because of how far they stick out.
The WP base probably needs a bit more work though, but i think thats what you are alluding to?

Yea, like he'll get chaos bits to nicen the base up. And the issue with the halberds is tgat they need close ranks. I saw swordsmen on bigger bases and they just looked off next to each other tbh

I think it's a good idea actually, because that Warrior Priest is such a massive model.

You could consider getting one of those pre-sculpted resin bases to make him even more impressive (e.g. from Micro Arts).
