"Fighting daemons in leather pants" sounds like either a euphemism, or one of the most metal album covers of all time.

"Fighting daemons in leather pants"
Its probably a counter-measure against daemonettes. A "fight fire with fire" kinda thing, only with skimpy outfits.

It's also a dangling participle (which is perhaps another euphemism . . .); it is the Custodians or the Daemons wearing the leather pants?

that 7th graders drawing

Harsh! I don't think they had a very big art budget in 1987 or whenever it was.

I think that version of the custodes is borrowed from a 2000AD comic. So that explains the outfits.

Probably true.  ITEHATTSD does a great job lampooning the leather pants and tattooed version of the Custodes.

I think the My Custodial Romance aesthetic dates from a period BEFORE the Golden Throne was seen as anything other than sustaining the Emperor, and possibly before the Custodies were genhanced. In the Ian Watson "Inquisition War" first book (Inquisitor / Draco) they appear, but are not described in the same manner as he described the Marines in the later books in the series (or in "Space Marine").

The leather pants look?  There has been a couple instances where it is noted as the current uniform for the Custodes in mourning following the Emperor being placed on the GT.

Only lace up at the side ones through, black of course!

There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

Sister of battle players all scream out in unison.

They probably thought they were getting real plastic models!  At least they can get the sisters of silence.

Having spent the day on Sisters' Facebook groups, I can confirm the butthurt is real. I have enjoyed it immensely.

I do, however, have no idea WHY the Sisters' players (with the exception of me, it seems) are so upset. There was ZERO evidence to suggest plastic models at this time - literally NOTHING. All the rumors, at best, suggested Q1 2017.

Nevertheless, there was much butthurt and upset and even an "open letter" to GW demanding to have more "transparency" about the future of the faction and other such special-snowflake stuff. It's a delight to watch.

But this release is very good - physical copy of the (existing) army list in an "Imperial Soup" Codex, a new model, a re-release of the models (including the long-lamented Immolator), and some "Made To Order" models.

I am very happy indeed. I think this shows the Sisters are NOT going to get "Squatted", and the models are available to purchase freely now.

Even the one fly in the ointment is the missing Living Saint from both the armylist and the store - but I tend to think that indicates there will be a new model with new rules at some stage.

Anyway - I don't care. I mail ordered a Celestine yesterday :)

I am betting they will get a plastic soon.  These metal sisters are not made to order, so they must be either grinding through old stock or remaking the model (which I doubt because again, its in metal).

The Sisters player are right to be butthurt and you should be ashamed for not being that, Darknight.

A true Sisters of Battle players is butthurt on pure principle because GW have once again treated players like dirt.

I truly believed GW was cutting them down and since I needed money badly two years ago I decided to part with what was my most beloved collection. My Adepta Sororitas. They went to a girl who played a Battle Sister in Dark Heresy so they came to a good home and I got much needed money.

Now, as GW was making all pomp and fanfare about Sisters actually coming back I believed that they must be going plastic. Otherwise only really wealthy persons could even afford them.
Screw that. They did not. I guess I stick to Tau and some guards. It is more economical that way regardless.
Oh, and remember GW made it personal, not you!

Oh, grow up, Mathi.

Seriously - I should be ashamed because I am not "butthurt"?

No, they weren't. There was a single reference to plastic Sisters coming in "months" - about two months ago. "Months" is vague, and could mean (probably) anything less than a year.

I believed that they must be going plastic.

Which is your prerogative, but there wasn't a single shred of evidence to suggest it.

Oh, pull on your big girl pants you special snowflake. "A true Sisters of Battle player"? Really? And not "a Sisters of Battle player is upset" - oh, no! A Sisters of Battle player is butthurt and that is the only option.

The only butthurt I have is you being a pain in the ass and telling me how I should react and flapping your hands about like the sky is falling.

GW didn't treat players like dirt. A physical Codex with additional options for allies is available (remember when the digital one came out, and you and I discussed, and you were all het-up then and "They are treating me like dirt! I want a physical Codex!" Guess what? You just got it and you're not happy), a re-release of models (including a return of the Immolator which has been OOP for ages), a new model (the ONLY new model released with Codex: Imperial Agents). These are not "treating people like dirt".

If you REALLY think being given something but not everything is being treated "like dirt", then I am glad you have never suffered any real hardship in your life.

But, of course - you know the only way to react to release information. I'm sorry - we should have all consulted with you before making an opinion. Clearly I, who have collected Sisters for twenty years, am not a true Sisters player because such things are not measured by interest in the army or size of collection or knowledge of background or engagement or anything.

No, no - such things are measured by degree of butthurt.

Grow up, you joker.

Isn't the Silent Sisterhood from https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NL/Burning-of-Prospero-ENG not also plastic sisters?

This gives me enough to warrent upcoming -plastic- models

Well, you picked the fight in the Back table earlier, Darknight so I felt I may aswell go ballistic.

A hard codex have come, but after how many years? Too late in my view. I think GW have made so many terrible desicions the last years that they deserve some extra flack, for good measure.

Growing up I did long ago, until the dark hole swallowed me again.
