Continue like this, and there isn't much jaw to drop here anymore...

Love these photos during the work and before painting. Immensely helpful. I think you shine in choosing and positioning the bits you use. This doesn't take away from your greenstuff skills, but you really make the proportions and poses of the ordinary figures and bits shine!

Na I totally try to work with the bits, not against them. I did some greatswords with chainmail coats and sculpted plate work. It was just way too much. I think the trick is to not over do it with greenstuff. Let the pieces shine where possible.

Damn, that's spot on. The real thing should have been like that.

If you add a steel crown and find the horse head that belonged to the original luthor huss model, you'll have the whole thing.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

Been a while since the last post. Life i spose. Working on some new stuff that i thought i'de post here.

The warrior priest from last post unfortunately is not completed yet, nor the general. But soon. This work here is for a tourny in 2 weeks, so the finished products will be uploaded soon.

Halberdiers:

The chicken man and the start of his chicken's butt:

The halberdiers are a necessary evil i think. I like the state troop kit, but the aesthetic isn't as menacing. Of course even with the greatsword base they still collapse dead with a stern gaze from the enemy. Nevertheless, im quite happy with the first couple and will be finishing the rest over the coming weeks.

Finished battle wizard on horse coming soon. Big greenstuff job.

Hope you lads like it.

You have a real talent for sculpture and conversion. Very nice congratulations, some details I will copy them, I also like to change the units very much. I especially admire infantry innocence. I also like painting, but your models have only one defect, use them in the wrong game :-D

A great general, a great warrior priest on horse, some great halberdiers, and it looks like we're seeing the painting skill isn't too shabby either.

I really like these guys. Great dynamic poses. The round base gives you more space to play with.

Inspiring stuff indeed! I love how you add character with that great sculpting work.

As for the painting, I actually copied your way of basing with a mixture of scrag brown and rhinos hide on a unit of chaos blood reavers. Very effective with a natural shade of brown on which one can build up with most colors. Thanks for sharing! Since I´m lazy I have also tried out to base spray with Mourning brown and then wash the models in very watered down rhino hide. Works quite well too.

Looking forward to see more  :smile2:
