I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Lindybeige. An informative and entertaining channel on history (particularly of the military kind), with occasional forays into other nerdy subjects like wargaming and RPGing. By far the most watched channel by me.
I used to watch his channel until he made a piece about WW2 weapons, and through a lack of actual knowledge (and not stuff like 'katana's can cut through anything' kinda fanboy drivel) made statements about German weapons that were just wrong. And when pointed out by some of his well informed followers (in a respectful way) basically reacted with a pissy "you're just nazi fanboys, so you're wrong and I'm right" video.
Unsubscribed right then and there. I don't mind people being wrong, but doubling down on your incomplete knowledge and insulting the other party as a reaction gets zero sympathy from me.
@BAWTRM
I didn't know EC was getting a new voice! That will be weird but may work out alright.
Not liking it too much atm to be honest. I've watched 2 of the new video's (Dan prime still has a few going atm too but those are the absolute last) and I'm not the only one. The new guy just seems so hyper, hardly pausing for a breath or anything, it just makes his video's seem rushed. Other have described him as 'sounding like a used car salesman' and I kinda agree. I hope it's just nerves and he truly starts working on his delivery otherwise I can see a lot of people leaving, quality content needs quility delivery.
I used to watch Arch Warhammer but his tone is very snobbish and he became too political or dedicate videos on slandering/throwing mud at other youtubers, when all I wanted was warhammer videos. Way better than onemindsyndicate though. I hate how they pronounce warhammer names and words and they fumble their lines more often than I'm comfortable with.
Yeah, if onemindsyndicate would use better pronunciation I'd probably start watching it, but as is it's just too jarring.
And to add another YouTuber I sometimes watch: The Mighty Jingles. I just love how he brings stuff. I hardly play any of the games he features but just the way he brings things is entertaining to me. Great voice really, some voices are great for simply listening to, I think I could bear hearing him talk about Barbie dolls and I would still be fine with it!
Can't forget mentioning The Tank Museum btw. It's the channel of the Bovington Tank Museum and they've got these lovely Tank Chats about all kinds of (mostly WW2) tanks. And also their Mathilda Diaries, where they take the viewers through the entire process of restoring a tank to actual working condition (well, the driving bit, I'm sure the weaponry is kept non-functional).
