Excellent. I was waiting for these rules. The kits are looking pretty good to.

Is there any suggestion what the price might be? I'm expecting similar to the other box games like silver tower.

I am worried about the prize. I hope you will be able to play with just the main rulebook and your own terrain.

My 8-year old will probably like the burna boyz box and want to play ork. I have all them Guards and also tau that can be put into action but I do not want to have to buy boxes I do not need.

Just give me a solid rulebook! We want to play but money is limited.
Oh, and remember GW made it personal, not you!

It certainly seems they'll be putting out a seperate core book and it looks like all the rules you'll need are in there.

As well as being available in the Kill Team boxed set, you’ll be able to pick up the manual separately – great if you’re intending to split the set with a friend or want to get stuck in with the game but have plenty of scenery and miniatures already.

The Kill Team Core Manual is your complete guide to skirmish warfare, containing all the rules you’ll need to assemble your kill team, pick your specialists and fight anything from quick open play operations to deep narrative campaigns. In the book, you’ll find datasheets, Tactics and rules for all 16 factions in the game (so far), missions for every type of play, generation tables for your lore and much, much more.

I'm definitely playing the new KT. I had a lot of fun with the Shadow War: Armageddon and I adore the Heralds of Ruin KT as well. Plus those terrain pieces look splendid. :smile2:

those seperate scenery kits seem expensive especially compared to the older kits that these are going to replace.. as those were 26 Euro

I like the way they are binding terrain in, but the models are pretty expensive compared to the cost of the models on their own.

I will likely play this, but I am not buying any of it.  I will use stuff I already have.

It will probably be more sensible to buy the terrains separetely, later on.

I might just buy the rule book.  I like the new terrain, but I have terrain.

Preview for the campaign mode of Kill Team! You can have 20 guys on your roster, including multiple specialists. After you find out your opponent for the game, then you pick from your roster to make your kill team. So you can level up multiple different specialists and swap them in and out as you face different people.

Anyone else getting a team together to try Kill Team?

I've put together a deathwatch roster and it's brutal. 5 guys with equipment is coming out to almost 90 points, and once guys start leveling up I'll actually have to consider dropping a guy to take the higher ranked ones.

Luckily with a roster of 20 odd people I can always swap out some weaker or more basic guys.

I have three armies and a bunch of OOP Necromunda figurines in my house, not to mention a lot of stuff for the Inquisition. I will probably check the rules, using the Guard or maybe my Alpha Legion.

Oh yeah! I'm real pumped for the rogue trader stuff. Have you seen the community previews yet? The ones that show off the armies?

Including being able to take the Rogue Trader force as a special detachment for Imperial armies. (And the mutants for chaos ones, but blah dirty mutants.)

looks like current Killteam starter set has Space Marine Wolfs and Tau with a different terrain set than the one shown in the picture of the original post of this thread.

Anyone know why they switched the starter set, was it a new edition, or just a change of figures and terrain, or something else?

And is anyone playing this currently, and how's the game playing?

I believe it was mostly just a change of boxes, which is a shame because I liked the first one better myself. The Tau and Space Wolf teams were both originally released as stand alone boxes, and then combined to make the new starter.

Kill Team is real fun. Easily one of my favorites of the specialist games. They did start pumping out more expansions then I was happy with, but I hear most of them are pretty good. One expansion adds the ability to have commanders or lower level HQ, and the other expansion adds elite choices like terminators. They make it a very different game then the low level squaddie stuff, but it also makes sense for some of the missions.

Kill Team was probably the most frequent thing I was playing before the pandemic.

Well I do like the initial  scenery a lot!  Uninterested in the units that were provided then.

More interested in the Space Wolfs and Tau, and the new scenery items aren't bad, just not as fancy as the previous set.

I was tempted to get the starter set I saw today, but resisted. This time.
