He had been out of the public eye so to speak for the last 10 years, and hopefully was enjoying life, which is of course always too short.

Nice that someone mentions this in here. He was a legend and my all time favorite Bond. Rest in peace  :icon_cry:

I was dreading this day. First of my favourite, truly iconic and legendary film stars to have passed.

Although he'll always be known for his portrayal of James Bond, he appeared in a number of other films with very good performances.  As an example, his role in The Untouchables stuck out to me at the time I saw it as a role where his effort didn't remind me of the James Bond character, and a wonderful performance.

Indiana Jones trilogy some of my favourite movies of all time.

Henry Jones Snr such a fun character.

I like him The Rock and Entrapment too, but those are basically retired James Bond characters.

I enjoyed him as a Franciscan friar for "In The Name of The Rose".  It was interesting to see him play a character who was navigating with faith and morality in a world full of peril.

I passed a shop today that had a large puzzle of the Jordan landmark in it. I said "Illumination" to myself.
And for what its worth. My sisters of battle penitent engine has 'Iehova' written on its base

But in Greek, Jehova starts with an I.

Penitent. Penitent. Penitent.

Such a great movie.
The pacing still stands up to today’s standards too IMO.
