Round 5 Conditions and Modifiers
« on: August 21, 2005, 03:42:48 AM »
These are the current Conditions and Modifiers round five:

The Speaking Mural of Kaltenbach
Whipped into a religious frenzy by the miracle of the Kaltenbach fresco, Talabeclander armies march to capture the mission, while the Middenlanders fight with bitter determination to preserve their hold on the holy site.

All battles reported by Talabecland or the Middenland-Kislev Alliance at Kaltenbach gain a 25% bonus modifier this round.

Stuck In the Mud
The Conqueror has become stuck off the side of the road, north of the Uneasy Watchman. Kislevite scouts have taken note, and already, a raiding party is underway to strike at the behemoth as it is mired. The tank's escort must hold out until help arrives.

There is now a new scenario for use at The Uneasy Watchman: Stuck in the Mud.

Note that the bonus modifier at the Uneasy Watchman no longer applies!

I'd pay an extra 15 points or so to be able to take the engineer out back and shoot him.

Shouldn't this be Middenland campaign list?

For the scenario you say the tank can't move but can pivot. Does this mean it can or cannot grind?

Grinding represents the Steam Tank moving around inside a unit. The Steam Tank has a little room to throw its bulk around inside the marsh (as indicated by the fact that it can still Pivot), and it can't cause Impact Hits any other way, so I'd say yes, the Steam Tank can Grind.

Er, this might be a stupid question, but why does the new stank-scenario (which is great, by the way  :-D ) use a Talabecland army as opponents? The Tank has stranded above the Uneasy Watchmen, which is Middenland territory.
From the map, I would assume that Talabecland is too far away from the sceanrio location to pose a threat towards the tank...
For the rest, great scenario, will be playing shortly (though I won't be able to submit the results, damnit   ).

Because I wrote it for a differnet eventuallity and forgot to change the sides in it.

I'd never imagined the tank to grind. It's stuck. It can't pivot quick enought to hit anyone, not even a zombie, hence the requirement to expend 2 steam point to turn 45 degrees. It is a firebase and objective only,  no more.
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!
