I keep forgetting to post the topic, so to be on the safe side, all of the rest of the year :
August : Special character on foot or horseback
September : Character on Griffon
October : Imperial terrain piece
November : Scene from the train of army followers
December : Season's holidays in the Empire.

Sounds like fun, if I can get my brushes working, is there a thread with the rules in? cant seem to find one.

Not really.
Rules : Models must be newly painted, unless specifically stated otherwise. Models must be Fantasy AND Empire, unless stated otherwise.
Models can, but must not be GW, and only the painting is evaluated.
I think next year will be more of a conversion year.

Sorry to dissapoint, but this month's competition is for NAMED characters from official GW fluff, like Karl Franz, Thyrus Gormann, Gorbad Ironclaw, Nagash (I'd be curious to see someone come up with a decent conversion for him) and the like.
Must the Special Characters also be Empire? Just curious.

What is Alberich Haupt-Anderssen made of? I can see a least three different kits with parts on this guy..... I recognise the following:
* 7 Ed. state troops
* 6 Ed. metal greatswords
* 6 Ed. plastic knights....?

Do you mean my conversion from the painting competition?
It has components from:
8th ed. Demi Gryph Knights
8th ed. Karl Franz/General on Gryphon
8th ed. Archers
7th ed. State Troops
6th ed. Elector Count on Gryphon
6th ed. Greatswords
And a custom made plaster base...

I like that you have given for the next few months. Gives time to plan out what I should finish modeling/converting and start painting up.
Question:
November : Scene from the train of army followers
December : Season's holidays in the Empire.
What are these supposed to be? I just keep picturing the Nulin artillery train pictures from the 6th edition army book. And empire models with red Christmas hats on snowy bases.
