That's great news - nice to see a new face.

The Dutch contingent needed a bit of strengthening - it's a bit poor when there's more coming from the Uk than just across the border ...........  :icon_wink:

Actually has anyone heard from LochNESS (Tim) ................  since he got married  :engel:

Yes, I think this will be my last one for a while. Which is why I was so pleased it was in april when I can go.
Also I have applied for a job with double my wages, plus a pay rise of 7 k after 2 years, so I need to get that if I am going to be able to keep affording to come!

I'll be driving down from Leeuwarden (The Netherlands) by freeway A6 and then A27, little detours can be made to pick ppl up! (going in one breath it would take about 3 hours to get there)
I'd prefer the cheaper option too. Also, could I hitch a ride from Amersfoort? I could go to Utrecht if that's easier and jump in there.

You don't have to slow down for him, he'll just leap in like a little dutch ninja.

Amersfoort won't be a problem I could go down the A32 and A28 and then take the A27.. that way I would pass Amersfoort. And I'm about 95% sure that I'll be attending, just hoping nothing unforeseen comes up with bills and such..

I think it will be a problem to jump into my car even as a ninja.. seems those spanish are paranoid about break ins in the car when you are actually standing still at traffic lights.. you can't open the doors from the outside and need to flick the doorhandle twice to open it from the inside (unless the contact is off then only once)

So Obi we can start with creating a step up point for you then :)

Still got room for one more in the car, any other volunteers for a Dutch crazy car drive?  :biggriin:

Oh no, now it might look like I'm hijacking this thread by 3 posts after eachother...

Oh well!

Doing it anyway.
I was digging through my models just now and I saw a 2nd Karl Franz model that I might have scored back a few years from a mate... It's part of the Griffin Deatclaw and Karl.. but missing the banner pole that goes with it.

Anyway I don't need it and I want to trade it during the bash if someone wants it. It isn't painted and could be a great model to use on horse, peg, other griffon or even the dragon if you have it. So just giving a heads up :)

No, I've got a proper job now, with 28 days holiday plus bank holidays and a pension and everything!

I am just sad to miss it, I always have a good time buying loads of cheese and meat, and trying loads of beer.

Can you buy horse meat in Belgium?

FR1DAY bought some once in the Netherlands, and I kind of wish I'd tried it.

Ale> lager.
Also all belgian beer is like 5%+. Where as British beer some are strong, but then you can go to a nice 3.something to chill out when you start to feel too far gone.

I'm not a fan of soft smelly type cheese, or blue cheese.
I love smoked cheddar. I love smoked duck!
I love getting free samples, and eating pies.
And everything is from the southwest. It's a good day!

We'll definitely have to procure some horse meat- even if it's getting Obi or SKS to bring some for us. Trying new stuff is cool.
