Someone pointed out they were going across the logo shields making high elves next.

Its kinda ridiculous that I am excited to see models from 10 years ago available again… but I am!

They are nice models though

Back in 6th / 7th, I seem to recall the cadence was 1 army every 6 months, so this is definitely an improvement.

Whats left, Beastmen, Wood Elves, High Elves and Empire?

I reckon one of the Elves will be next.

The smart money seems to be High Elves paired with Chaos Warriors.
Beastmen and Wood Elves as the final pair.
And Empire on their own fighting themselves.

Next week is the preorder for warriors of chaos, and what catches my eye is that its the first wave with no new models. Just old ones, along with some old forgeworld, and another made to order run of metal dwarfs.

I want stuff from Wave 1 and 2.
Dragon Ogres, Skin Wolves and Marauder Horse are the units I want more of.

I don't need 20 hounds. I already have 10, and just wanted 10 more....

Hooray! Lots of awesome classic models.

I think classic is open for interpretation.
Classic to me is 5th edition.

With the Orc release, I am hopeful to see some old sculpts.

Cahcoo!

I'm looking forward to it.

Especially if they bring back the militia box set.

A couple of threads worth browsing.

A quick look from Warhammer-Community at the Chaos armies of Infamy and what they mean for the META/Plot.

A quick look from WC at the Arcane Journal for Chaos.

And the Goonhammer folks doing a 6 month review of the state of Old World a lot of folks might enjoy.

I don't normally deal in rumours,  buuut..I heard from a supposedly reliable source that gw is planning an update to the rules to slightly nerf monsters etc and slightly boost infantry.

Not sure how I feel about it being tweaked like this with gw playing the of meddling deity, and worry that they'll overdo it amd have to correct it again...

But i think a minor change would be OK. Perhaps as simple as get rid of the close order bonus for single model units.

Good to learn!

And since the discussion centered around such possible changes, I posted the multiple succeeding posts to a new thread here ...

Been a long time since I bothered with any kind of rumour or news round up, but this caught my eye. The designers talking about the new Cathay army, how it originated because Total War wanted new factions, but they were very keen to make sure they did everything properly for the tabletop. Includes some blurbs like mentioning they have a big file of information for the faction that wont all be released, but the particularly interesting one is that the whole army was made with 8th edition rules/stats as part of how they built it for Total War.

Well that "8the edition Cathay army bbook is something Andy Hall kept totting around back before TWWIII's release. He did a interview/podcast with youtubers Great book of grudges and loremaster of sotek a couple years ago and supposedly read from it (but he never showed the book itself)
If it's the same source that got us the neucathay then the whole project can go to hell as far as I am concerned

Unit for unit they're better than our troops. Though they don't have the variety we do.
