Oh I forgot to mention that.   :icon_rolleyes:

Surprising really as I bought two boxes of the Legionnaires ...........  :engel:

Midaski:
Anyone dealt with these people?

http://www.modelsforsale.com/

They seem to have reasonable pricing on the Wargames Factory stuff I was looking at in particular.

Warlord games have equivalent of 25% off on their plastics - buy 3 get 4th free.

and there are two £100 deals Romans or Celts also here:

Careful with the wargamesfactory stuff, they're about the lowest quality of the current 28mm plastics (except maybe the hät ranges). I got the zombies and only use them as conversion fodder with lots of greenstuff as they are really that bad.

Perry, Gripping Beast, Warlord Games, Victrix, Immortal Miniatures and even Mantic (the ghouls are a very nice kit) do better plastics.

Thanks.
I am sampling at the moment - I have lots of Warlord Games Celts and Romans, and am looking at a bit of mix-and-matching / converting.
I got a box of their Vikings, and I have a box of the Gripping Beast ones - I will go and have a closer look.

Edit:

Well it may be because they are a later set, but I am quite impressed with the WH Huskarls - comparing them to the Gripping Beast set, the details look on a par.
I have had a historical contact suggest that there is something wrong with the Huskarls clothing whic I didn't understand, but not something I will worry about.

I guess that maybe the WF early stuff which I believe was their Romans and Celts may be plainer - however that may be ok for my needs.
If you want archers or slingers from Warlord Games I am pretty certain you have to buy metal models - now they are not particularly expensive and look nice, but there seem to be several slinger and bow arms on the WF plastic sets, which will give me a much cheaper option for missile fire.

We'll see - I am trying to take photos as I go.

Midaski:
GamesPoet inferred in another post that WF plan to redo their Romans - I guess because it was one of their first kits and unadventurous.

On a sort of brighter note - my Black Tree stuff appeared today - so June 3rd ordered - delivered July 24th.
Money taken June 3rd.
Money taken in US Dollars, though my order was processed apparently to a UK address in GB pounds, costing me just under £2.00 on the exchange.

The models are good value at the sale price I got - the service and communication is shit.

Edit:
I have now double-checked the order; I have a little note in the box acknowledging that one set is missing and it is 'to follow'.

AND on further examination I seem to have some 7 extra spearmen - no note about that, so I am not sure if it was a gesture due to the delay or an error in packing.
