I always thought that GW should have created a small subsidiary company that focuses on casting and selling old (OOP) metal miniatures on demand. As long as the molds are still okay, why not make money from them. If small companies like Foundry can somehow survive by (amongst other things) casting and selling old (pre-slotta) GW models and old Perry sculpted miniatures from 25 years ago, then a GW subsidiary selling old Warhammer miniatures should do fine for some years.

Just a guess, but maybe fear of cutting into sales of newer models?

There will be nothing old. They dont have metal anymore, so no need to get your hopes up that high!

Funny how many of us on Empire Forums love the old metal models but most people in the hobby would rather throw metal models in the garbage.

I think by now the target customer for AOS plastic models is very different from the people who are interested in (old) metal miniatures. But that has probably not really occured to GW yet. Or they simply don't see enough profit potential in this.

For quite some time, they seem to be working on a vision for the company and its products that is entirely independent of the actual market that has been supporting them. So who knows...

I'd buy it just to reward GW for that epic level trolling. :-D

Haha, that's a good rib-tickler. If only Nagash realized that Sigmar was badder to the bone than him.

Funfact: In AoS Nagash is actually the last of Sigmar's allies to abandon him but still attacks him anyway, I suppose his loyalty was always bare-bones. :icon_lol:

So - only 40K - what a surprise  :closed-eyes:

So - got all those already   :engel:

The problem as I recall ( I haven't looked at 40K seriously for years ) was that each of those IG variants did not have the Plasma gun.
Tallarns had the sergeant with a plasma pistol, and I think a Plasma gun figure surfaced years later but may have been a 'rogue'.

I also recall that the Mordian Mortar became OOP early as the mould 'died' - and I notice they are not on this list.

What price my Pretorians now.

I think 40k models was pretty obvious, more popular and appealing to a large fanbase.

It's only the first ones though, we'll have to see if fantasy models pop up down the road.

That said, pretty tempted by Mordian troops. They're one of my three favorite guardsmen along with Cadians and Vostroyans.
