That's not a wolf! That's a huge-ass rat! :biggriin:

Still - great model, and really intimidating.

Ha! I had to take a second look. I have friends who take advantage of my naivety! It was giving to me and it does have the look of ratkin about it especially the tail.

Yep, definitely a rat.  Probably pretending to be a wolf, and hiding in a space marine unit.

It does have a ring to it 😺

Edit: I’ve been had!!!lol I think this is perhaps the funniest bit of scurviness in along time. I’ve had that abomination for about 8 years and I never knew. And it’s being ridden by a spacewolf. Heretical I tell you! Heretical!

Work some green stuff on that tail and maybe shorten it up a bit and voila - you should be good. :-P

Going to cut tail and try GS on it for sure. When I calm down for accepting that abomination in the first place 😺

Rhino joins the squad. Hopefully will keep em alive to reach their objective.

Looks good, you do need the transport in 8th to survive.
I’d add a second storm bolter to it though, for 2 points it’s gives it 8 shots with in 12”. And that range seems to be where the game needs playing with all the -1 to hit stuff around now
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

Good advice! Will scrounge the bits for another storm bolter.  I also have 4 drop pods (3 uncompleted) for the other squads. Is it still viable to have that many. I originally purchased them with that in mind?

Even after the point reduction they are still quite a lot of points. Also with the new deployment rules, and their size, and the squad having to deploy still 9” from enemy they are not as good. They take up a lot of space, which a wise opponent won’t let you have.
However they are good for getting your troops in the enemy’s face, reducing deployments and sitting on objectives once down. Also they reduce your susceptiblity to alpha strike and can always be used to reinforce your battle line to react to your opponents moves. Though this is reactive rather than proactive and should be avoid unless necessary

Painting wise on the rhino, only a little one, I like to do the ammo in hoppers in brass to contrast with the gun. Also the lights can simply be painted dark yellow then given a wash and grill picked out in metal to contrast them. Lastly I’d paint the lens on missile, coupla and bits in at least red to detail them. Easy to do but makes a bit difference.

Awesome! Thanks Friday. The changes will come 😺
I have 2 razorbacks as well for some punch. Split a squad of hunters.
1 drop pod for the blood claws at the moment
Crusader for the wolf guard
I have 1 more hunters squad and a blood claw squad to build. Maybe 1 more drop pod and another rhino.
I would like some more thunder wolves and maybe some longfangs.
No aircraft at this point.

Love your work Artoban, but have you not glued that ML backwards, by any chance? ;)

As a belated Christmas present to myself. I rewarded the war room with the 3 index to jump start the 40k game. Thanks to someone here who posted a link to the downloadable rules, I am now able to have a game. Why the old issues? For the price of 1 1/2 new codexes, I now have 7 codexes I need. Now I an get familiar with the game and eventually get the new books. Maybe by summertime I might drag myself out to play a few games st the local store again. No rush though but I should set a goal. A couple of guys from the old circuit are playing AoS and complaining all the time but still are gaming so I’m looking forward to linking up again. Also I decided to build another drop pod and forgot how much a pain in the ass it is to build. Bought a black primer can so that should be the budget blown for awhile.
Edit: I’m also hoping for an app like the WH AoS. It is very convenient to store army lists and make them up.

Broke down and bought the enhanced digital rulebook with cash made from eBay sales. I feel I can justify that. I just couldn’t figure out detachments so I got the book

Going to have some fun with open play I think for the first round. Guard and ork I think. Found an old squad of praetorians so they will get to red in the chimera as vets since all my other vallhallens are painted the same. A bit of scratch battalion stuff. I have 3 heavy weapon teams of steel legion too I can throw in. I have enough terrain for a city fight and a big boulevard for the baneblade (s?).

Yes. I used 12x12 vct tile from a job I did. They cost about 2$ at Home Depot and it makes for a good base. Then millions on GW buildings 😺

Yes. A mistake.
Should be 4x4 with a 2’ extension but it’s pretty tight in the room. 3x5 works space wise but gaming is kinda screwed over. I think I will have to go to 4x4

Not the end of the world.  Although 4x6 is the norm for so much anymore, not just WFB and 40K.

It’s not regulation but the inquisition can do what it wants. Here my inquisitor has chosen a couple of priests and an odd squad of praetorians that have been sitting in a drawer for 10 years only based so I added some colour.
