"What a wonderful job we did diplomatically." Desmond adds rather sarcastically. "Really solved this one eh?"

He shakes his head and limps over to the door. "Well lets get on with this. We've got a bigger problem now, but at least we have something more then when we started."

"Son of a grox" mutters Bane under his nose, and then sighs heavily. "All right men, we're RTB. Captain's orders. Move out, standard defensive formation. You two - grab what's in that box". Icarus shoulders the body of his dead armsman and goes out into the corridor.

@Everyone:

It takes you, what feels like an eternity to get things sorted. You take your dead comrade to the morgue. A small room detached from the deck's HQ and the decks medice assure you the remains will be taken care off.  Before Malik departs she says she will keep you updated on the Hand's movements and you all breath a sigh of relief as you finally step foot on the upper decks some time later. You return the shotguns to the armory and make your way to the bridge wehere Hasarian and Ricker are waiting for you.

"Whats this then?" Hasarian asks as the two house troopers set down the chest.

"Desmond, would you mind?" mutters Bane, clearly still sour from all the failed engagements that they've partook in. "I think you'll be able to explain this better than me" he adds, with a slight rasp.

@Everyone:

"Perhaps I should go over what we found?" Petrus asks at Desmond's silence

"It you would please, Petrus" Hasarian says

Petrus hands Hasarian the AOI pin and starts puling items out of the box.

(Oops sorry. I really thought I replies to this! I rolled 33 this time.)

"My apologies Captain." Desmond say's, exhausted. "It was a trying expedition. Especially considering it was my own efforts to make it a matter of diplomacy which seem to have led to... issue."

He motions towards the items Petrus is pulling out. "We do believe we have a suspect, or at least someone possibly involved in the death cult. Worse, it appears they may be linked in some way to Administratum Oeconomica Imperialis."

[Rolled 9. Pretty good, eh?]

Bane looks at the items with sharp eyes, analysing each and every one of them.

@DK:

Per role: 84

@Gankom & Xath:

Various items are removed, including one of the AOI's miss matched uniforms, a combat knife of Guard issue, a Navy revolver & a box of large bore ammo for it. Basic shaving kit, rations, make-up, Phobis' Tech-Priest disguise, everything a spy would need.

What is odd is that the chest yields no clues on how he got on board.

@Everyone:

"Here is the mask" one of the house troopers says

Upon closer inspection, the mask is so well fitting that it is no surprise that, if worn under a hood in tje dark, that Phobis would be mistaken for having an augmetic head.

@Gankom:

You notice something about the mask. It possess a jack for a mind implus unit! A thing like this is far more high tech then what you have seen the AOI use. But then you have only encountered them once.

You show everyone and feel slightly embarrassed that you know so little of the AOI.

Petrus comes to your rescue by saying "From what I recall of the Administratum Oeconomica Imperialis, what you have there seems a little out of their depth. They are a paramilitay crimanal gang that deals in Guard and Navy surplus. What they have in terms of augmetics is mostly of the replaceable limb variety"

@Everyone:

"So then how did they get somthing like that?" Hasarian asks "Any ideas?"

Edit: Also with DS running the campaign over at OGB he won't be back for a while so...

"Well it certainly raises more questions. This death cult, the Hand, supposedly hates augmetics. So this man running around with an MIU raises a few eyebrows."

Desmond frowns and rubs his chin. "Perhaps this isn't just a cult or gang problem. Perhaps a rival rogue trader is using both as cats paws to work against us."

@Everyone:

Hasarian sighs and walks over to the chest and starts going over the items that Petrus is pulling out.

"Only people out here who know about the Cult are my two younger brothers. Norris and Hanserik, they are supposed to be missing or dead. Desmond. Would you kindly write up a list of all the items in this chest..."

Hasarian pauses looking at your wounds

"Never mind. Let's get you all patched up first"

"Well this certainly looks suspicious" mutters Bane, under his nose. "Where can one get his hands on that kind of tech? I thought that the cog boys are rather strict about not letting their secrets out of their grubby, little hands" he adds with a mirthless chuckle, toying with the pommel of his sabre.

"It's just a scratch sir!" Desmond replies bravely. "I'd rather get this over and done with sir. We need to figure out whats going on and start taking steps to stop it. I'll get patched up after our meeting here."

Desmond will take out his private data pad and start making a list and description of each item found.

"We should also perhaps keep an eye out for our fake tech priest and take him into custody if possible. Perhaps between us we have some... agents who could do so quietly?"

@Gankom:

"A scratch eh?" Hasarian asks "The fact that you haven't passed out from blood loss is solely based of Icarus not pulling that bolt out of your knee cap.  So I am puttihg my foot down.

@Xath:

He turns to you

"Icarus, would you help me with Desmond?"

"Well that was unpleasant, but not complaining." Desmond replies, gingerly stretching his leg. "So what now captain? Do we start venting the ship and hope for the best or send Bane back with more troops?"

@Gankom:

"Well you are going to rest for a while Desmond. We shouldn't get you out of bed yet" Hasarian says

@Everyone:

"Matter of fact I think that goes for the rest of us" he orders "We have a long warp travel ahead. Besides which there is no hope of infiltrating The Hand now. Phobis has most likely gone to ground and honestly I would rather have the Hand below in case we are boarded, so no venting for now"

@Gankom:

"That said I still need those items logged, Desmond. I'll have some troopers bring Phobis' chest here so you can work from the comfort of your own rooms while you recover"

@DK:

"Will, would you kindly assist Desmond?"
