For what it's worth, I recently started using Imgur for the purpose. No issues encountered yet.

Apparently Dropbox changed as well.

To insert image link from Dropbox use image button as usual and insert the Dropbox link. You need to change the first part of the link from: https://www.dropbox.com to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com

A final link should look something like this

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/9ll9ffw1ev9oago/Photo%2021-11-2017%2C%2027.27.15.jpg?dl=0

Regarding photobucket: I guess it is useful to know that by adding ~original after .jpeg, any pictures you linked before will re-appear - for now at least.
