Greetz one and all,

As promised another update on my ostermark troops. I painted the first of 2 Imperial dwarfs. I’m not really satisfied with my work, I think the paint looks to thick and greasy. I’ll use him like this anyway,… But what do you guy’s think

Your army is good! Well painted and the corpse guy and Imperial Dwarves really give it character, as do the conversions. I'm a bit ashamed of my own Ostermark force after seeing yours.

I love the work on the dwarfs, excellent conversion. And like a lot the paint schema...I´ve tried to get a similar purple, but with no good results...I get a more pink color

May I ask you the receipt for that color on your state troops?

Thanks for all the great reply’s, In the meantime I did some more work on the force, my GS captain has some colours, but the spray can went “humptidumptie” and gave some white spots on the model I’ll post pix later today or tomorrow. Also got one more halberdier finished and started making multiple figure bases (like the old goblin one’s) But as said; pix will follow.

@Castozor: never be ashamed of your work. In my opinion we all want to get the best out of our army’s and if painting is important you did the best you could and should be proud of your accomplishments. I for one would love to see them, there are a lot of things in my army I don’t like. But I think that is something we all have

@Orion: My receipt for purple:
1st liche purple with a tad of black
2st colour all except the deepest recesses Liche purple
3th: liche purple and skull white (usually in 2 to 3 steps always’s adding more and more white) for the final high lights.

Griffit, I really like your greatsword! The "skirt" suits him well IMHO. Also, how did you make the bunny on the picknick table? Did you use greenstuff to model one or did you use something else?

I'm happy to show you my army sometime. It would probably take some time for me to figure out how to post the pics here (yes, I know there's a thread to teach people how to do it. But leave it to me to mess even those simple tasks up.

) But once I know how, and have nice pics I will show them to you.

I especially dig the paintjob and the 'stache. And while they don't look to "landsknechtsy", they remind me of actual Empire artworks from the 6th edition, which is good enough in my book. Looking forward to see the whole army.

as Steve B pointed out the picknick table is indeed made up out of bret parts, the bottle form the Imp parts and a wheel ofcourse

Ill post new pix once i get new things done.

I finished my First few bases. It might be silly, but I actually am pretty proud of the result.
The small leaves finishes it all, they are infact seeds from a "berk" tree.

I used bases for 3 models to make deployment quicker, 3 and not 4 because this makes taking cassualtys easyer. 5 models wide; 1 base of 3 and 2 bases of 1, makng it possible to remove 1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; ... cassualty's without problems.

I'm a bit stuck on the crossbow men. I don't realy get the idea of how they should look. I want to go for a just that bit different; just like the halberdeers; the simple helmet convertion and sleaves go for miles.

In my oppinion the crossbows wil be more down scaled; if any of you have idea's inspiration, ...

I was thinking in exactly the opposite direction. Given that Ostermark is a rather poor provence and thus more likely to feature bows and spears over crossbows and greatswords, why not have the crossbowmen stand out more, because they're much sought after experts in this area? They can afford better clothes, because they can chose for whom to fight - usually the highest bidder.
And then build them on the basis of the new archers, with all the "furry hats" included. I think a few kneeling crossbowmen in particular would look really great.

The quarreler dwarf is great! Good work on the puff and slash too, saved some pics to my reference folder. Very creative conversions overall, inspiring stuff!

And the colour scheme is cool too, love Ostermark...

Could you repost the image of the guy with the flamberge greatsowrd, the picture does him no justice, at least compared to your other painting. Aside from that love the conversion.

Ill try to get a new pic, but the seal messed up the paint job; all white spots on the model so I'm afraid the new pic won't be much better.

I did some counters for my army, using 0.01€ as a base.

I did 3 of each (more wound counters) and also did some prayer counters using scrolls; but forgot to take pix
