I gotta say your Nordland army looks unreal, really like the War Altar  :smile2:

That last one with the hammer is one of the Ostlander gang miniatures for Mordheim, that were only available for a short time

Great painting as per usual. The model from tragedy of mcdeath is pretty crap though!

I agreed to buy some painted Chaos Warriors for cheap on e bay to help me mate out, so he can use them next weekend against me.

They arrived and the quality was terrible.

They were all dry brushed to bu ggery !

Sloppy paint everywhere, I got 9 and 2 Knights for £13 so can't moan!

Anyway, decided to see what i could do in one hour, and managed to save 8 of them, by applying some better base coats and then a massive wash to hide the dry brush nastyness.

So far not bad for 1 hours work?

13 more painted chaos warriors arrived from e bay,

i got them real cheap, and expected to touch them up to basic gaming standard,

however the guy seems to have glooped them all by dipping them into some kind of gloss varnish, which in some places is so thick it's not funny~!

i might have to abandon ship and bin them all!

I have to say the new shape chaos plastic models are bulky, lacking in decent detail, and generally boring to paint,

they are just like blobs!

rubbish!

sod chaos!

The picture you posted above is not of the new Chaos warriors - it is the older model. The new ones have the cloaks with fur trim; I dunno if those are the ones you bought this time.

I'm not sure you are looking at the same Warriors of Chaos models I'm looking at. They are big and bulky, but certainly aren't lacking detail. I've not painted any of them yet, so I can't comment on how boring they are to paint.
