I actually just got in 2 war of the roses boxes from them and they are GREAT quality. I mean, they don't have puffy shirts....but the bills look amazing.

Artizan makes some good alternatives:

I finally finished painting my Perry halberdiers. Also, here is the proof that you can make a unit of twenty four halberdiers using only one box.

Wow, Rufus those guys look cool. How much is that Perry Box?

Oh, and how did you make that flag? It looks great!

£15 for a box. Though, 4 of those halberdiers are armoured bodies from the command sprue, equipped with small halberd-axe-hammer-things.
I agree with the inhumane treatment of animals.

I like the guy in the far front corner. Looks like he's holding a hammer and pointing at someone he just smacked to the ground, "And stay down!"

Never noticed that. :biggriin: True though.

Those metal halberdiers make nice Doppelsoldner for the cheaper equipped plastic halberdiers.

These are the best Halberdiers i've found. They are expensive, but man oh man do they look great!

It's funny. I like Gamezone in general, but those halberdiers I don't like at all.

They are, however, great if you want that Spanish look.

They are well sculpted and they are wearing some light armor. I hate it when my GW has my state troops with no armor on. Give them at least a breast plate!

I must say I really like those figures.  I just spent a while looking at all the medieval era minis on the Perry site and there are many great ones, although it seems mostly more expensive metal figures.  Loads of great Spearmen or Halberdier figures on there, and some great knights.  Too bad hardly any have any barding on the horses.

The archers from the same box are really nice too.

They are bargain-tastic.

Thanks!

It's just a paper flag with a decal by imperialforge.

Anyone know when the 'mercenaries' box set is coming out (Pike, Crossbow, Handgun)?  :biggriin:
The sculpts went for tooling in May.

Wish they had been out in time for the TnG.

Those look really nice and if there's pike/crossbow/handgun on the way then that's excellent, pretty much fills in all the gaps we'll need to make a whole army out of them.

Just wondering, with the fully armoured command sprue.. would it be possible to make greatsword models out of those?

Yep, you just arm them with poleaxes. You can also buy more poleaxe armed troops from perry minatures directly.

In more important news  the mercenary box will be released in November!  :biggriin:

I bought 16 armoured pikemen from The Assault Groups renaissance German range to bulk up mu Pirazzos Lost Legion and they fit perfectly with the GW models, both in scale and detail. I would happily recommend them.

Also I've just recieved 8 "greatswords" in the post from Artizan, along with some pikes for the Lost Legions addition, I think they'll fit in reasonably well with GW greatswords however my unit is entirely made up from the Artizan models and they don't look out of place or too small amongst my gw minis.

I'll post some pics if I get the opportunity.
