Topic: Starting help needed!

After a year of writing up army lists using core rules and some fan based rules finally getting around to starting my empire force!
I have a bad habit of starting armyies and then changing them so I want to start small at 500 points.
So I'm requesting some help from my far more experienced generals than I, to help decide what to include.

My force will be based on Border Principality or Sylvanian, I'm not a fan arcane chariots or most war macines other than the cannon.

Warrior priest
Great cannon

Give the warrior priest some basic armor and a great weapon and you've got a nice well-rounded force.
