This art thread is starting to get too heretical.

Awesome work on that daemon anyway,  Mr.Chumley. That rotting blue skin makes my skin crawl. :biggriin:

I love that old slaaneshi (come on, no other god fits!) model. Gives me the creeps and your creepy painting is truly worthy of the Prince's of excess attention. :-P

Good paintjob, but terrible model.

And so we turned and rode beyond the castle walls

the axe shaft is too wide for sure,

maybe I could swap out the axe hand ,

any ideas what for?

I remember that model. Haven't seen it in a long time.

I agree that the axe is too clunky, and really reveals the model's age (the rest is fine). Instead of swapping the entire hand, you could just cut off the axe head and turn the axe into some sort of scepter.

I'm down with that plan but can anyone post a pic of a suitably large plastic chaos style weapon to replace ?

You know, I used to think that Grimgor was holding a chalice; i.e. it was a pretty bad sculpt. Took ages for me to see it was a knight's head replete with streamers.

That said, I'm looking forward to more of your projects. :D

Your gonna be jealous guys, but for 6 months I have been planning a garden log cabin project...

Technically a nice office in the garden, but actually quite substantive, 20 sq m :)

I know you are thinking the same as me :)

For growing small trees to carve into treemen miniatures?  :biggriin:

Seriously though,  sounds like a nice hideaway for your hobbying. I can imagine your collection needs it's own home by now. :-D

Call it a SHEN - it's a cross between a shed and a den, and confuses the hell out of people - especially women.

Mine is only 16 foot by 8 foot and about a third is for the normal shed stuff.

It may not look like much, but its 5*4 m dimensionally.

Also 4 Tonnes of Hardcore and Sand were hand carried by me to create the foundations...

+ 50 paving slabs at 30 KG lift each .

Even painting it is taking hours, required 3 layers of a special £65 / 2L tub, of Swedens latest log cabin preservation

Congrats on the "office"! :::cheers:::

By the way, great paint jobs on the Chaos warriors. :icon_biggrin: :icon_cool: :eusa_clap:

Those figures seems to be the best thing at this point regarding GW's shift to W:AoS.
