Probably Dragons rampant (always thought it was rampart..) or Frostgrave. Lots of awesome skirmish games out there like AoS.

Anyway, love the old-school griffon and the great work you've done it and the knight! :smile2:

I was thinking , my Empire work has been disparate , lots of units, different colours.. But i loved most my Purple Greatswords unit...

So now i will create a whole army of purple

what faction is that?

On provincial line Ostermark uses purple, when it can afford the dye. Bogenhafen, a wealthy city in the Reikland, uses it for the livery of it's troops as well.

That gryphon is excellent. I'm pretty sure I used on of those on my war altar. Havnt seen it in ages but it sure looks familiar.

The Gryphon is great - I have one, and like a lot of my stuff, it's unpainted - actually it's unbuilt too  :engel:

I do think the rider armour 'disappears' though amidst all the other hues. He doesn't pop or stand out at all - maybe that was your intention though?

My intention was speed paint , lol

as always !

So i sprayed the beast red , rider white and base brown,

then finished the whole thing inside 3 hrs

next up i am experimenting with a reiksguard foot soldier sprayed brown , then purple armour

I'd have spray painted the beast with brown, and purple would have stood out more.

9th age uses round bases? Huh.

Ok , just airing some thoughts...

So as stated i gave up on collecting every slotta model ever made , and now am focused on painting and collecting armies..

My Empire is a disparate collection, many colour schemes,

after recently finishing my HE army , with Scibor ruins 20 mm resin bases on every model, the army looked so continuous and unified, i sttarted thinking that I need to make my Empire look like one solid continuous scheme also..

The tough question, what was my favourite colour scheme ,

I loved my Purple Gold Swords the best

So now I have decided to build an army of Purple and Light blue, which was my favourite combination anyway , i just hadn't realised it

Pics to come soon

So whats the tough question?

Does that mean re-painting? Surely that is faster than starting new?

It's up to your preference of course, but with Empire it makes sense to have different colour schemes if it's a multiprovince army. Historical landsknechts even had different colours within the same unit. Life is too short to keep repainting the same when they are already looking good and there is more other stuff to paint.

Theme it but have different contingents with their own leaders/captains . under command of the emperor or a captain general with of course their own household units/ bodyguards.
