I kid around with Chumley and his obsession with painting metal, yet I do get it.  I was working on a metal knight figure that was produced before the plastic Knight kit came out, and I can really tell the difference.  The paint flows better on a smooth surface, the sculpt is clean and crisply detailed, and these kinds of things make for enjoyable painting.

Base is 20mm metal cubes i found on e bay. Bonus is that they are also magnetic ... I glue 2 together to make approx height of a normal base.

The Bishop is from Last Sword Minis.... They have a few models i saw in metal, but most are plastic evil.
