Nice paint job on them though.

Good paint job. I like the subdued colours.

I first read it as " An Elector Count with his internal revenue!"

and thought to myself that those be some fierce taxmen.

I like those old models.

Good one   :::cheers:::

Just paint 'em whatever goes best with the rest of your army. Anytime I've painted a rare model, I've never really painted them in any special way, I just made sure the finished job was just a little nicer.

You sir, are an eBay maniac. That is however a fantastic price for a war wagon. Looking forward to seeing it done (probably in about 15 mins).

Nice knight models, really great to see such rare pieces. But what about the horses and their size. To me they are looking like ponies. Could you please post a pic in which it comes to a comparison between the current barded horses and those steeds (compared to the pistolier horses those do not fit at all either). To my mind the question we have to deal with here is: Shall those beautiful gentlemen be combined with the current crap and fit in the army scheme or would you like to keep rider and mount together for nostalgia (or for another obvious reason: not lowering the value)?

they are blatently ponies lol!

I think they were made for comedic value by Marauder, and never released in shops for sale because the steeds are so small.

I still love them though and will be keeping them as they are!

Knights on ponies, lol

I don't think comedic value was involved. In those days, like with many historical companies, horses were considered a bit of a waste of metal and systematically undersized.

Do you think that If I give them my very best paint job ever yet seen, that they will hold their value (£150 for 2 ouch i paid!)?

Is it the knights that are rare and valuable rather than the horses?

If the horses are worth a lot, I almost regret giving four of mine away!

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't warhorses in the middle ages rather small... most tapestries like show knights with their feet practically dragging on the ground.

From what I have seen in 2 years of e bay searching, is that the Steeds are the rarer pieces.

The riders torso and legs go very occasionally , but fetch less money.

gave away 4 , ROFL

imagine in 10-20 years time, these will be so rare

Ha ha.

I still have four left, plus two painted ones being ridden by dwarfs (they make great mounts for dwarfs!).
