Wait a minute... That's no knight!
Jokes aside that chimera takes me back to when spears were red and bases goblin green. :eusa_clap:
(A little greenstuff in the gaps between the paws and legs perhaps, if I may add a humble comment)

What did you use for the grass?  They look like "tufts" but not the Games Workshop ones.

Technically, that's not a machete.  It's somewhere between a skinning knife and a meat cleaver.  That hook is for gutting and skinning.  That said, great model and paint job.

It's a hedging bill - and ancient agricultural tool used for shaping and laying hedgerows that seperate fields - and a very effective weapon of war
We go to gain a little patch of ground that hath in it no profit but the name.

Not sure I'd agree on the "very effective" bit, but otherwise you are spot on. Though it's quite possible that in less "hedgy" parts of the world similar blades are used in butchery.

If you put the same blade on a longer handle you can use it to prune trees... or equip a unit of medieval English peasants (or halflings) with polearms on the cheap!

So "A steam tank explosively gives vent to noxious vapours while trundling through an open valley" would be the crossword clue?

No-one, and I do mean no-one, in the world would ever get the answer, even if they had letters 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 14 and a brain the size of a planet.
