So I'll start my "blog" here about my Tau, well mostly also on my wordpress blog, but will keep posting here when there are updates with little snippets of what I have done.

So my Tau Empire box of Burning Dawn is build and I just need to magnetize the bases and do a little greenstuff on the Piranha.

Here is a group shot

Excellent! Can't wait for them to hit the stage. My son also just picked up a kit which includes 3 xv25, 10 fire warriors, an ethereal and 10 drones. Pretty good deal too.

Nice start. What colours are the sa'cea sept?
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

Sa'cea Sept has Orange as their sept color and normally they have blue-grey camoufage for their urban fighting, but I'll make them in to light grey's and some white with light blue linings for a snow/ice camouflage theme. And the Bonding Knife ritual color will be a dark green. (pine tree'ish coloring)

The Orange will make a nice reference to my Seraphon (of which I only really started painting the mordheim warband for) while the dark green is a reference to my Stormcast all the while I'm still doing something completely different

Test model done past week (photo's up now) and started to do the rest of the Pathfinder team
Well done... I miss The Fang as color for the skin so his "feet" aren't done yet just as the base isn't finished yet.

More on his colorscheme on my blog:

I like the snow on the ethereals base. That looks like it came out well. The skin tone is also really good!

looks great!

my only suggesyion for improvement would be 1 more lighter highlignt on the skin, especially the face.

But might also be because I don't have my glassed on

They look really good. Very crisp, which suit the T'au and other armies with hard edges. Nice, sympathetic basing to.

Looking forward to seeing a battle suit

I have to admit, picking Tau is a great choice. Been looking at their models and they are pretty good, sadly on the next Bash my Space Marines are going to walk over their Corpses (and I expect a blog about it).

2 Bashes and my games have not been featured...  :icon_frown:

If you want a real full blown bat rep of that we can do that but prepare for extra time needed for taking enough notes and pictures!

Last few years this just had been a hassle to do and keep together and then to make the time to make a bat rep (takes a whole evening at the least)

Fun battle report! It's interesting to see the difference in 'Power', while having the armies all be around the same points.

Hurray for the Tau!  That's quite a lot of units for a 1000 pts. My son has started an army of Tau with the pathfinders and crisis suits being the core so far with an ethereal. I'm definitely stoked to try a game however I think I will call upon my friend Will to fight with rather than alone. I'll probably use my Gaurdians of the Covenant although they are vehicle heavy.
