GW Legends TV Advert
« on: September 09, 2016, 07:52:02 PM »
I was flabbergasted - right between Emmerdale and Coronation Street on ITV1 at 7.30pm tonight there was a Warhammer 40K Legends Advert.

GW spending money on TV prime time advertising  :icon_exclaim:

Of course they were really hitting their target audience - I was trying to imagine how many 12-15 year old 'Timmies' would be watching those TV Soaps.  :engel:

I've hunted online, but it doesn't seem to be available yet, so maybe tonight was the first showing.

You mean they will be using Ouija boards instead of Tarot cards for their business plans from now on?

Been on for about a week. Its just one of those buy it every week things. Seen it on dave and channel 4 during prime time.
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

That's pretty interesting. I've never seen anything even remotely like advertising in Canada. Half the time even the stores don't have more then the company name in the window.

I actually got to see it properly after the initial surprise  :engel:

As Fr1day says it is one of those weekly 'magazine' style things - (was Real Robots worldwide?) - not sure if they will be giving away minis stuck to the front cover though, or if it is just fluff aimed at getting kids into the stores.

Remember when they did that for LotR? I was a redshirt at the time - we were explicitly forbidden from calling it a "part-work" for reasons which were never explained.
