Engineer Army in the works (Pics...)
« on: March 11, 2004, 02:08:45 PM »
As some may know I'm working on an engineer themed empire army. I've posted the army list in THIS thread.

Now I want to show the units I've finished so far. I plan to finish the army in the next two month, and I will post any progresses in this thread.

Any help or advises for the army development, the painting or conversions are very welcome.

I hope, the pics work here...

The army so far...

A unit of handgunners...

Three engineers with HLLRs and the champion of the heavy cavallry with experimental weapons (in this case that means a mini battle platform with halflings armed with spring-loaded spears - :shock: )

The war-balloon of course...

My unfinished "Von Zeppel" stank...

Simply stunning painting and converting Vimes!
Love the spring loaded spears!
Some of the best and most interesting conversions I have seen for an Empire army!

Cheers,

Dante

Awesome...simply awesome...I love that someone is still using the old Helblaster model.
Actually, forget Karl-Franz. I want rules for Thyrus Gorman on a dragon. - Rufus Sparkfire

Beautiful paintings, just one question, should the ST not be the same colors as the rest of the units?

Very, very cool. I once again say that anyone who docks you points on composition after seeing an army like that is completely braindead.

You're a freakin' lunatic, You know that? :shock:

I wouldn't even have the patience for such conversions, and even less for such a high painting level... :D

Thanks a lot, folks!

@Winger
As Kaz allready said, the stank isn't finished yet, but it is the next one on my list...

@Hagen
I had to use the last free week, and my girlfriend crams for her exam (she currently hasn't much time for me), so...  :cry:

I've done the only thing a honest man could do with his spare time - I painted little toy soldiers!   :D

The exam ends in two weeks, so I think (no, I hope :twisted: ) it'll slow down my progress...

@all
Thanks again for your comments!

Yep, I'm still using it too (although thinking of updating it with the new model as it has far more detail!).

Cheers,

I don't think anyone said it was worse, it's just different.
I think it makes people a little nostalgic to see the older models again! :D

Cheers,

Dante (sorry to go off topic on your thread Vimes!)

............ dont have any words for these conversions and the painting skills.

but wouldnt that horse fall backwards?

if that was me i would have been lying on the floor half of the time :)

but just some wonderful ideas in there.

someone asked if the Stank should have the same colour as the rest of the army: i think it isnt finished ;)

Heiglot- *hurries off to do some converting and finishing of those banners*
