Hi! I have played warhammer fantasy and I just want to know if you think flames of war is more complex or hard to learn.

Thank you for your patience.

Depends, are you just looking to do pick up games with friends, or get into competitions?

If they are familiar with FoW, then this will probably make it relatively smooth to transfer from playing other strategy games of miniatures.

Ah, so the friends will also be picking up FoW for the first time?  I can't imagine though that since it is friendly play, that it is really that more complex.  The basic rules are something that if two or more folks are working through them, then over time it'll be something that can be picked up accordingly.  It will be slower than if at least one person already knew them, so less smooth of a transition, yet I don't sense it isn't something a person and friends can't work at it to pick up, especially after having already played WFB or another miniatures game, even though the game systems are different.  There is a learning to curve to all such things, and these rules can't be too tough, especially fi they are still selling a starter set.

And welcome to Warhammer-Empire! :icon_cool: :::cheers:::
