£25 for a rulebook is fine really (bit expensive), it just seem's weird they seem so unprepared for the success and not sure why they're insisting on it being limited.
If the game's good when we play I might well pre-order it.

What r the rules for army selection, going for 1000 pts to start?
I don't care about the rules.

I was looking at numbers - it seems to say 3-10 normally but up to 20 for Orks.

Can you do 20 with 1000pts - probably all Yoofs   :engel:

Adam said he had 11 in his planned starter.
Looking at campaign stuff you get to spend 100 points after each game on recruitment or restoring numbers and upgrades - not a lot.
It would be hard to get a trooper with a weapon for some teams - you can swap a Prometheus cache for another 100, but there is no carry over I think so you have to spend the whole 100, or 200.

It would seem that advancement is more evenly paced in a campaign - Skills added to one guy at a time, and you choose the particular skill, and you get one of the 6 choices by rolling 2 x D6s and choose ONE result on the skill table.

debutante 70 , wych knife, 5
blood bride 100, shardnet (35)

1000 pts
ended up with 50 spare, so had to spunk equipment onto the leader. Alternative is to give all wyches blade venom so they re roll to wounds in combat?, but then end up at 990 once i've retooled leader.

I'll bring the tech priest as part of my guard army.
You can only have half of your team as new recruits max. No gangs of yoofs.
There are 40 different shades of black, so many fortresses and ways to attack.

So why you complaining!

Could you conceivably get 20 Orks in a starter team at 1000pts - I cannot see it.

The rules I have seen say 3-10 normally - does that mean IG and Scouts which are the other 2 Teams in the starter set rulebook, and 3-20 for Orks.

It will be interesting to see if the new book - which apparently now includes all the other races that were on the pdfs continues with that numbers restriction.

Different teams have different max numbers. Genestealer cults have a max of 15, ad mech 10

Are they starting maxs or limits you cannot go above during a campaign?

With the more measured advancement it looks an interesting choice early on whether to save your promethium caches or invest in more men and better weapons.

Where did you find the Team's numbers - I just scrolled the GW download for the other races and couldn't see a figure for Chaos or Dark Eldar

Looks like the digital version is out. $37.99 Canadian. This makes sense to me to buy as I can put together almost any Kill team with what I have save a few races. In fact it maybe my next purchase.
Anyway. Well done in my books.

Didn't the new book release today?

Funny if they didn't get eratta and faq in it.

I thought this played ok, should have played more of it though!

I managed to get two boxes for a long-time planned cities of death table (I also got several imperial sectors, landing pad and much other stuff)... It will be a long while before I have to to assemble it all though  :icon_cry:
