Mogsams 40K Ork's.
« on: June 09, 2009, 11:13:29 PM »
Without even attempting to pretend this is Empire stuff I'm going to post the new Orksies i've been working on. There are quite a few hidden Orkies by the looks of it so it's almost justified.  (Also, the Dwarf Gobbo's had a minor accident that Whitey was witness to, the steampa is in a less than fantastic condition. Backseatage!)

Without further babbeling, I give you the beginning of the burny gitz.

Would love C&C.

The second one seems to be missing an arm.
I'd like to see more detail on the metal for the guy with the burna...
Otherwise, well done on the skin, teef, an' eyez.  :-D

They look good man, in a classic WD kind of way, well done!  I would have to agree with Union General here and echo the idea of some more wear and tear on the burna.  Some Tin Bitz and black washes would work wonders, or at least, a heavy Devlan Mud wash

They look good, you shaded/weatherd the metal very well and the brown has nice depth

Only nitpic is that the skin is a bit light for my taste, but thats a personla perferance
As for borgar - you sir are a genius.

Did you paint first and glue the arms on afterwards?

Rust looks ok, .......... minimal but ok.

I basecoat their arms/guns then stick them on. Blu taked on mostly. Looking at them again the rust/model is pretty dire considering what I can do, epsecially the last guy I'm gonna have to have another whack at them, I think the rust and such is one of the reasons I don't like 40K painting, not a big fan of large areas of metal. Might switch back to Yellow metalic areas. They don't look good.

Hey, I think they look awesome. I could NEVER paint Orks that well.  :-D
I just think that they could look even better.  :icon_cool:

They look great, but they could indeed do with a bit more rust.
