If you mean the unit in black - that's Nuln, home of the Imperial Artillery School.

The models are black with red accents...are they Nuln or Carroburg?

In the new book the red/black colour scheme apparently goes to Nuln. At least that's what can be gathered from the Empire preview at the UK GW site.

Actually, the amount of Scrabble boxes you would need to buy to obtain enough Q's to meet minimum unit size would roughly correlate to GW's prices…

They are from Nuln IMO.

Also, I think there's is some general misconception regarding the colours of Carroburg. According to the provinces descriptions, Carroburg lies in Middenland (and is politically part thereof) - If this is correct, I guess we can safely assume that the traditional colours for Carroburg were the same as Middenland (ie blue) - Only the Greatswords of Carroburg are known to distinctively wear black and red.

Checking back the description of Middenland makes things even more confusing as it indicates that Carroburg's original colour was white (probably because the city was occupied by Reikland then?) :

quote
the regiment fought until their white uniforms had turned red with the blood of their enemies. By tradition, from that day onward the Carroburg Greatswords have worn dark red uniforms.

Wow...I am hating the new state trooper models more and more every time I see them.  :eusa_wall:

You are looking over the fact that Carroburg has a standing army and almost every city will have a differing color scheme from the province it belongs to. So it would make sense for a a Carrouburg army to take its colors from the most famous regiment associated with its name i.e. the Greatswords.

I did hear someone say something about the deaths head regiment from Ostland being red and black....anyone have any more info of on that?

The same picture is in NEB; it's a handgunner regiment from Nuln, home of the imperial gunnery school.
Well the black with a bit of red is. The red/white is Talabheim

Greetings

Red and white is the city state of Talabheim, though I thought the colours on the book were yellow and red, in which case it would be the Province of Talabecland.
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
Andrew
