I've heard rumors of the negotiations, but havent heard anything conclusive

now with the Brettonians and the empire in one camp it would be strange not to ally
with us IMO.

anyone up to date on the fact to who's side the woodies are drawing???

Their own.  They lean to the Dwarfs just because they don't trust us more than they don't trust the Dwarfs, at least in the Crown affair.  I'm not sure if that's an IC perspective or not.  The Dwarf attempts at cementing an alliance failed and they basically said they won't target any of the old Conclave but don't tread too heavily or you might find an arrow in your back.
