Warhammer-Empire UK Bash!
« on: September 20, 2009, 09:33:32 PM »
Why should us Brits be left out of these shenanigans?

Location: Warhammer World
Date: TBA. This could be tricky.

Interested: Merrick, MrDWhitey, rufus sparkfire, whoever I've forgotten.

Guys, are we up for this?  :-D

Only if I can participate sitting down. 3 hours standing up is my limit.
I thought he should act responsibly and just kill himself.

Potentially interested, depending on the time of year.

October is too early. November I don't know about for others but is probably ok for me. December is ok for me, but don't know about others.

Anything wrong with early next year?

Might I suggest a chair? :icon_wink:

It would be good, I think I was able to sit down last time I was at Warhamster world, but can't remember if they still do. Our local GW doesn't let you sit unless you're painting. Oh, Mogsam sat down though, even though he wasn't painting. Selfish git.

Then again, remembering the quite recent report from rufus, those two looked like they were sitting down.

I'd bring a chair, explain you have a back problem, and if they get pushy, ask them if they are really discriminating against your health condition.

By the way, if I own a game store some day, I plan to have chairs available.

I'm pretty damn sure if I told them (and I hadn't brought a chair) about any problems I might have, they'd be happy to assist by letting me use one of the stools. I don't like bringing any up though. I kinda regret posting the throwaway comment about needing to sit down.   :-D

Let's get back to organising this thing.  :engel:

They have like a million stools to sit on! They let you drink beer in the gaming hall, of course you can sit down!

The French let their kids drink wine, and the English drink beer in hobby stores ... makes us US of Aer's sound all prim and proper.  Must have something to do with our ancestory, but I'm not sure what. :::cheers:::

British British British!!!

I suppose it was the tendency of your forefathers to wear rather sombre black and buckles while everyone back home were wearing enormous hats, smooth little mustaches and massive wigs.

Why of course, how could I forget the Pilgrims, and their various cousins, too. :icon_lol:

I won't go. The concept of being around other people confounds and disturbs me. Also money issues, natch.

Yes! They have new plastic glasses specifically for that reason. Nice ones, too. Not like the ones in bad pubs.

I'd be interested, if the date were to be somewhere in December/beginning of January....

Well I hate you and your little dog too [/wicked witch of the west]

Mainly, it's money problems. I'm a student you see, and I'll be living in London. There isn't that much money to go galivanting off to a reconstituted basketball court to play with small plastic man. Also, I only have space to take one army with me to Uni, and thats my new IG force. I doubt I could rock up with several thousand men armed with deadly lasguns (I might have exagerated a bit there about the lasguns :icon_mrgreen:) and expect to play against some preindustrial humans with floppy hats...
