I really like the colour scheme on those knights. I take it you are aware that a stray cannon ball or some such seems to have taken the standard bearer's head to a place rather removed from where it should be?

Have you done any foot troops as yet?

Those knights are beautiful  8-) Great colours...

The pistoliers are cool too, like you said, who cares, a zebra is a great idea

I do like the zebra idea, but just not on that pistolier. Though you did pull it off really nicely!
The knights are also nice, especially the grand master. It's a shame that there's no fully armoured arms in the general kit though, would've been better than the puffy sleeves.

I really like your knights!

Have you got some infantry too? Or are you going for a Cav army?

whats the background for the army?

where is Nerenwald?

for the background: I'm working on that. Got some fluff in my head, just need to write it down. As for the location: I think near the Ostermark border. Close to the world edge mountain. haven't desided yet.

Sure this isnt a VC army? Headless horseman and blood(red) knights?

I like the vibrant choice of colours, and the painting style reminds me a (very slightly) tad of Padres

Oh and the zebra is just awesome!  :biggriin:

'Padre' = me, I believe. (You'd really think I would know!)

Yes, totally different style. I'm afraid I paint rather differently to most of the painters here - but no-one seems to mind. I even use enamels. The difference is why I had doubts as to whether I really was 'Padre'! Almost philosophical, really, in a Descartian sense.

Way too long since my last post. But good news: I managed to get my hands on a great camera so new pics are on the way. Those are all meant to help motivate me to keep painting (on a regular basis)

Anywho, I was hoping to get some tips from you guys. I've got two Ogre Man-eaters, which will be my unit fillers (dankjewel Sander voor de inspiratie, ik gap gewoon je idee ::heretic::) Off course I've got the Imperial one. Well he is holding a hammer. I wondered if it would look cool to paint the hammer as if it was made of bronze. Do you think the weapon looks to stony (is that a word? :?) I thought all those dents en cracks could look like damage From swinging it around. The other question is about those li'll Gnoblars. I want to give them a really bright colour because my ogres have a very dark green (catachan) skin, I want to make my Gnoblars stand out more. Was thinking of bright blue. Suggestions?

Now that I have a new cam, let's prove this blog isn't dead yet.

A picture of my horribly cluttered workspace. As you can see, plenty to do..

Welcome back then in your blog.
I have added it to the sticky already.

Do I see some Koopmans products there? :)
Is this on the attic? do you have any natural light in there then to work properly?

Cheers

2things....
Zebra- GREAT IDEA, it turned out really well. I really think your horses are very well done.
Yellows- I like how bright and potent your yellows are. As an Averlander I do coat after coat of yellow and I never get my yellows quite as "loud" as yours.
Great work

Looks good, Im a sucker for bold colourschemes myself.
I particularly like the red and the highlighting on the armour of your knights. Also picking red for primary colour for knights is exotic and cool! Cudos!  :::cheers:::

Hi all,

because i had to clean up my workspace in order to make room for the gameboard, I took the opportunity to make a few quick shots of the models I got.

What you see here is about 90% of my models:

And a peek of my fav unit, unfortunately still very WIP: The Knights of the Wild Rose

Be sure to check this blog out later, cause there's a missive post on the way... oooh with fluff!

i like it so far, makes me want to redo my empire color scheme. hehe and you beat me to the red knights theme damn!

one thing i would say, and i am by no means anybody to talk, but a wash on these would make them really that much better.

unless of course you are 100% happy with your army than by all means ignore me :)
