Empire Blog - More Wizard Pics! *15/8-2006*
« on: August 11, 2006, 06:16:00 PM »
Yes!

Its a fact I'm starting a blog about my Altdorf/DoW army!
Even though it Isn't very many DoW units in this army, I still consider it a little DoW-ish. The main fact is the fact that many of the statetroops have been converted with militia bits to some extent to make them look a little rag-tag and war torn.

The goal for this army is to have it finished by the end of this year of earlier, now I'm also starting a Nightgoblin army later, and I guess I'm making a blog about them to.

This army is what I'm bringing to a local tournament called "Quest for Atlantis", that my gaming club is holding the last weekend in September, It will also probably be sporting the new rules.

The Armylist then!

I notice you have a horse rider in your swordsman unit. What sort of base is it on? I'm guessing a 40mm "filler" from the position.

Great work - I love the scroll caddie

The detail work on the drum is lovely! Did you freehand that?
I don't know what Caesar thought when he got to the Ides of March
Don't know what Houdini bought when he went to the store
But I sure do miss the eighties

I glued together 9 mansize bases and mounted the horse in the center of it, around him I mounted some swordsmen where there was room for them.

Thanks!

1. I paint the whole shield in scorched brown
2. I paint some bestial brow stripes on.
3. Then Graveyard earth in tiny strands
4. After that I highlight them with a graveyard earth+Skull white mix.
