Hmmm ... and that is suppose to be Christmassy?  Not sure that really fits.

Anyway, encountered this today, 15th and 16th century Christmas music ...

I had one of my top Christmas moments ever today.

Decided I was going to travel a bit to pick up a last minute gift for a sister.  And decided to take a long scenic route, and stop by a gaming friend and his lady friend's home to drop off a fresh bakery baked loaf of oatmeal bread and a box of chocolates.  I show up, they offer coffee, take me into their living room with Christmas tree and decorations, presents all wrapped under the branches, and give me a gaming gift ... the Perry's new miniature game in a box ... so cool.  We sat and talked for an hour about aging, life, gaming, warfare, history, relationships, etc.

A truly terrific time.   :icon_biggrin: :icon_cool: :::cheers:::

That's awesome GP. Sounds like a wonderful holiday experience.

I ran into an old gaming friend (and former forum member) at the grocery store on Sunday, but we only got about 30 seconds to say hi.

Saw this earlier in the week.

I tried to make that happen  :-D with a few possible ebay bargains I had my eye on, but they were bid up to regular retail price by idiots/bots and I dropped out of bidding. So it's unlikely that minis/gaming stuff will be under the tree for me in the morning.

I got myself some minis before Christmas, because it's always doubtful anyone else will.  Then I got that Perry box ... lol.

Visiting father first, one sister next, than the other sister with niece and nephews, and my mother, and then to the new lady friend's place for dinner and dancing. She has a wide open wooden floor space of a dining room and we will have some good food and music.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful time.

I had a fairly small Christmas with the family. Lots of unexpected bills hit over the last month for each of us, but I'm the living embodiment of the spirit of Christmas and all we really care about is getting together for some time together.

Present wise is always a score. I got some sweet squid socks, a light/magnifying glass for model building, some fiction books, a new ipod (actually some kind of different version, but I'm at war with apple currently.) rechargeable batteries and the new model for my all time favorite warhammer character. (Gotrek the slayer because I know everyones dying to ask. #NerdProud!) Every year we also get the new holiday lego set, this years a gingerbread house/family. It's technically a gift to the family, that in practice is given to my mum and then build by me. But I built it, there fore I count it as a gift to me. Sounds fair.

The main present people got me is a bunch of rocks, fossils, some art prints, foreign coins and other random stuff to add to my curio cabinet. (I have dreams of a full cabinet of curiosity one day.) I am one bad day away from turning for a wise collector to a full blown hoarder. Although the stuff isn't really random. The rocks are actually small samples of stuff like petrified wood or BC jade. My mum got me a big fossilized mosasaurus tooth, and my dad got me a shark tooth.

Merry Christmas everyone! I had a really nice Christmas with the family. Got some nice presents like Ring (which is awesome btw), and some books I wanted. But I also got a set of Empire Flagallents! Pretty much the last on my wishlist for the Empire.

Have another round of gift exchange this weekend so might get some more Warhammer goodies.
