Bronze breast plate indeed, he is a unit hero. I have those bretonnian archers from the 4ed starter set and to make them more empire like, I added 4ed empire archers as unit heros.

This particular unit wears the altdorfian colors more exactly the orange-blue variant, which the mercenary troops are allowed to distinguish them from the regular empire troops.

Yeah I noticed the fellow leading them was an old Empire Archer -- I had him painted up as a hero in 4th edition wielding the Dragon Bow (back before it was a useless kiddie toy).

Lots of nice updates since I last checked, the archers are particularly nice.

I'm well impressed by your Outriders of Ostland, they ate excellent, really good character and the mix of figures works well.

Thanx for the comments ladz  :smile2:

Yeah I noticed the fellow leading them was an old Empire Archer -- I had him painted up as a hero in 4th edition wielding the Dragon Bow (back when it was a useless kiddie toy).

If I had more time I might have done the same  and sculpted him a nicer bow, the current one is just a bended stick really. It's a pity empire doesn't have a fig with a nice looking bow, like woodl elves have.

Nice work. Is that Engineer a GW fig, or is that a Privateer Press fig? It definitely has the feel of one of their figs.

The engineer is actually an OOP Mageknight fig. I cut off the head and replaced it with the one from GW handgunners sprue.
I also pinned the fig, so it can be removed from the tank and put onto the milestone.

Praag is here...

So far painted in the Empire department. I'm somewhere on the halfway to paint the whole army, so a group photo is apropriate, as has been suggested in the other forum. Till next time I have to calculate the points, (not all models are on the pic) and maybe take a picture of the evil army too.

And hopefully I 'll have finished my withchunter till then.

He's the leader of the Miragliano DoW outfit ( Rodrigo ? )- crossbow swap for the handgun, and a rather nifty sculpted hat - a very clever conversion IMO.

I reconised the miniature immidiately! I have tons of them lying around here, Mage knight was the where the hobby started for me.
You have given me some idea's now how I can integrate them in my empire army! Thanks!

Thanx Zak, thou my army seems merely as  a townguard when compared  to yours in a size.

Yup, I have some more of them myself. They'll get converted and recruited asap in Empire.

Ah, thanx Midaski for entering here for me. :::cheers:::

..yes, his name is (go check my DoW armybook)...................Maximilian Damark,  a captain, a leader of Marksmen of Miragliano, a mercenary regiment from Tilea.

As has Midaski allready pointed out, he's been converted ............and recentley recruited in the ranks of the Empire witchhunters as a senior  officer. I will explain more about the witch hunters in my next post, when I finish this guy.

I have painted some ornamentation on the handgun. Not sure if I should turn it to yellow/gold. Silver kind of contrasts the rest of the golden stuff on him. Next time I'll try to taek better pics .
