Thanx all  :::cheers:::

Glad to hear that, Henerius.

And another update. I decided to try a freehand design on the merchant's cloak and here's the result. The mini is almost finished, just a few highlights more.

Thanx, w.weib,  but I'm not completely satisfied yet, it still looks more like  a sketch than an ornament. Probably because I applied too much blue wash over it. I will go back to it and invest some work more on it.

Since it takes quite some time to finish the whole unit for me, I started to paint and older project in between, a converted dragon. And before going too far with it, I took the pic of the first stage -  other side is allready painted a bit. For the record.

I bought it in a souvenir shop, and it's made of hard resin, so it was a bit difficult to convert it. The head is converted with plastic bits, also  claws and tail. I'll see if I can find some interesting bits to add to the fig.You know,  skulllz......

Helldorado mercenaries are finished, the bases look bad , I know, but will have  to do for now. I managed to also paint the cigarettes, especially the first guy's is obvious. I hope you can see it.

Holy asd!@##! That's some awesome freehand!

I'm actually not a big fan of the colour scheme, but your minis are incredibly well painted none the less.

The wood on the gun in your last post - is that wood pattern actually on the miniature, is it it 100% painted?

Thanx. No, it's not 100% painted, it's a shallow imprint, that I painted over. So no big deal actually, of course you need a very light tone of colour for that, otherwise it's no use.

And the cloak design is not finished yet, but I'm getting close. I'm not sure if it's clear, but it is a seahorse amidst the waves.

The company's Marienburg banner:

still needs a final touch though.

The banner is finished, I just need to attach it to the fig.

This should be almost finished, but I might subdue the contrast by adding some purple wash to the brightest areas, what do you think?

and before with blue wash

I think both the banner and the cloak look great; if you toned down the contrast it might spoil the effect.

I like the preliminary stage on the cloak better for some reason, the transition with the cloak was more smooth. Maybe shading with purple will get you back this nice finish...

Apart from that, awesome paintjob and incredible paint scheme really  :eusa_clap:

Thanx for comments.

I tend to agree with Porkix here. The detail of the design on the cloak didn't come out as good and sharp as I thought it would. It's quite unclear as what are you looking at, so it all looks more as a generic textile pattern than some exquisite ornament, which I was aiming here.
And in that case it should blend with the rest of the cloth. So yeah, some wash will be indeed needed to lock all together.

Ok, I've finished the banner, and had some rough moments, when I was attaching it to the fig, trouble and trouble with gluing, applying etc. Painting was fun but this - not.

Next time I will use only premade banners, so next - I need to arrange my bits box for possible trading, since I don't have enough of them.

Lighiting was also bad, so the red was disturbing the camera light sensors, this is the best iI could manage.

....and Pirazzo's men are finished too. I have 3 Miragliano men and 2 Helldorado and a merchant mixed in. And the original banner that came in the box, which will stay there.

I plan to make a custom two lines movement tray for them, which will make them look a bit more table- top -nice.

Good stuff! Very well executed.
Maybe the red doesnt blend that well with the purple/turquoise, but that might just be me, and it doesnt take away much from the overall impression.

Thanx.

Which red do you mean, the red on the banner or the pavement, or both? The pavement I can change, the banner of course  not, it's from the Marienburg color scheme, red, yellow, blue. The purple and light blue and creame are my unofficial Praag colors.

Sorry I was unclear, yeah the pavement. I dont think you should change it though, certainly not if you are happy with it, just not the way I would have done it. But as I said, on the whole it looks great.

Actually I'm not that happy with it. It seemed as a good idea, the red is terracota red, suggesting the tile are bricks, but it's too bright. I'm pondering on the idea to give it a dark wash. It's not such a big deal. 5 mins of work.

Since everybody these days seem to be taking pics in a semi professional way, I decided to try it myself.
Following instructions by Darknight : http://warhammer-empire.com/theforum/index.php?topic=45878.0
I've built my own simple light box in about 5 mins. I haven't finished it  yet, since I've yet to put a baking paper on top and sides, but in order to immediately  try  it, I improvised with a lid of some white plastic bucket which gave a similar diffused light as would a semitransparent white paper.
Next, I inserted a semi strong black paper for the background and I plan to make a set of papers with different color tones. Not to go half way, I've put the photo camera on an expensive tripod.
For lighting I used a powerfull construction lamp, which gave enough light to fully light the interior of the box even through the plastic lid. This enabled me also to  minimize the light index on my camera, so that I could mimic the fancy photo studio environment.

And the results are not bad, I would say, considering the picture was taken in an ordinary card box.:
