Nice work guys! That is truly some inspiring stuff. Those banners all have me thinking about doing something different with my own models.

Hey, thanx guys :) And yea, I know, its pic heavy  :icon_eek:

The banners were kind of a shot in the dark for me, but I'm happy with how they came out. Using the Black wash on cloth is frustrating, but if done right, can really make clothing and banners look weathered. If done wrong, it just looks like arse >_<

Wiss, aren't these the same Knights that caught me in the infamous Dwarf Sandwich?

Wow, man.  They all look awesome.  Way to debut it all!

ty! I've got bigger plans in mind for when I photograph all 'of 'em, finished.
Gotta keep my memories of 'em...  :icon_cry:

I'm quite pleased with the BSB.  It'll be nice to have a model for that character now.  And, yes, you spelled Brennenburg correctly.  For a moment I thought you spelled it with three 'N's', which would've been tragically funny.  Your work with the banners turned out better than I could've hoped for.  Much better than my original all black motif. :-)

As I recall, when I first saw your mounted BSB at that first Bash, he had a giant flowerpot on his head. As I recall, anyway. What happened to that lad?

That would indeed be tragically funny... rather like when I first tried to write it with actual ink. (I did what you see with a fine-tip Sharpie.) Regardless, the ink refused to dry on the paint, and as far as I know, there's still wet ink under there somewhere, as I couldnt mop it all off and it bled thru subsequent layers of paint until I finally submerged it...

Methinx the black was better than the patent Wissenland Gray motif of your Leetswords ;)

The green and the yellow will stand out nicely amongst the rest of the boys.  And what you did with the greatswords is awesome.  They look very gritty, and the armor ideas you had worked really well.

Aye... the shoulder armor is still a little odd, but they look a lot better in a pack than I imagined they would! And as I said, I'm painting your avatar-face onto their  banner.
I like how characterful each one is compared to the stock greatswords, since none of them were originally sculpted to be greatswords...

When I get them all back, I'll work on basing them.  Did you ever figure out a mix similiar to that of the general?

I don't have a batch made up yet, no, but I can throw one together. We've got entire coffee cans of this stuff...

Oh, that guy's still around.  He's the standard bearer for my IC knights, the ones SirUlrich painted up for me.  I like that banner idea for the greatswords, too.

Right, lads, time for the final round! Or almost final round, anyway. I'ma be taking a lot better full-army set of shots here soon, but for now, I figured I'd show off the latest batches. Everythin' Wiss sent my way to complete is now, at oh-so-very long last,  :closed-eyes:, finished.

The final tally is 62 models; 30 Spearmen, 20 Greatswords, 10 Nilla Knights, and 2 Characters:

Now, for the finished Greatswords:

Some of the models that I completed since last time, including the freehand banner:

Aaand lastly, the other batch of Nilla Knights. Note that they're posed differently than the Green Knights: they're marching with lances up and shields slung, whereas this lot have shields up and lances down.

And they are most certainly not grey.

Thanx fer lookin'! :D

Perhaps it depends on what time period one considers them to be. :icon_wink:

And by the way, the painting on all these figures really does look very good. :icon_cool: :eusa_clap: :::cheers:::
