^+1 to that. They're 40k models.

This thread has pretty much convinced me to get the starter set for christmas. Can use it for Star Wars AND 40k I bet. Storm troopers and Inquistors/Psykers.

There are two starter sets.

Double the options! I'm mostly looking at the Imperial Vs Rebel set because I think it can get used for 40k easier. Human rebels and imperial storm troopers become scion/storm troopers, Luke/Vader become Inquistitor/psykers, rebel walker thing becomes a scout sentinel, etc.

I could see that.  With the Clone Wars set ... maybe troopers = scions, and droids = Mechanicus or maybe even early Necrons.

That could be good. I especially like the idea of droidy mechanicus. I dont know their army list enough to know what some of the other units could focus as. Clone troopers would likely make excellent scions.

Cool idea! I love hobby stuff that can pull double duty.

Scions are on my list to use as Rebel drop/shock troopers. Maybe some cultists too as scum or wastelanders.

I agree.  Anytime I can have figures crossing from one set of rules to another, that is a good deal!

I made a Rebel Pilot for my Saber Tank so I can use it in that faction too. It turns out the a one cent coin fits in it great, so I glued the guy to that as a base.

I'm surprised there are no gag pictures of white scar space marines, standing next to stormtroopers

I'm impressed with your white Sharkbelly. I wish I could get mine to look half as smooth and covered. My dudes always look like someone chucked white paint at them as they walked passed.

White, yellow and orange are the three hardest colours to use. I'm currently torturing myself with a Howling Griffons project

I actually really like the Apothecary contrast paint for white models. It's what I used on all my Clone Troopers.

Speaking of Clones, mine have a new Field Commander. I made an Aayla Secura out of an extra Witch Elf.

All right, I finally got my hands on a couple squads of B2 Battle Droids. Those and the last of my Kroot should round out 2020 quite nicely. In 2021 I will shift focus back to Warhammer stuff, for the most part.

Yeah, this has been great. Got me pretty thoroughly hooked on Star Wars models. So many ways to work them into 40k or vice versa!
